YOUTUBE A MUST TO PUT THIS TOGETHER
Watch youtube carefully. At the final collar assembly jaws MUST be in the open position to continue the assembly otherwise you cannot get everything into alignment. At the start of assembly only put the pin in very minimally otherwise you will catch and deform the spring.

Once I figured that I was trying to put the blade release mechanism in backwards the assembly went fairly easy

Waste of money and time no instructions
Good luck getting this installed. Tried for 4 hours. Gave up. Threw the kit and saw in the trash....also, no instructions provided

Fixed my XRJ05
Used to repair my makita XRJ05. Everything fit great. Just follow the parts breakdown diagram and it's notebook hard.

It works, but recommend someone helping you and following step by step instructions on the internet.
Had a lot of small parts, but followed step by step instructions on the internet and now my Makita saws all works great. Would recommend it, but helps if you have someone to help you, and do it while watching step by step instructions on the internet.

Back in service
This parts kit got my Mikita sawsall back in service. I’m very pleased.

Had everything needed, but...
All the parts needed were there but the compression spring for the paddle was too narrow and the paddle kept slipping beside it. Had to end up working on the old spring and using it. The other parts fit OK and the clamp worked when I was done.
