Storm Thunder Tape

I recently started bowling again after 20 years. When I was young I used to play competitively and often had serious problems with my thumb with soreness and blisters specially after not playing for a while.Now after having this problem again I ordered the storm thunder tape and today I had the opportunity to use it. I put the tape in the base of my thumb and was able to play 6 games with minimal discomfort at the site of my blister. The tape did not move during this time. I could not believe it. I will be able to play more often with this tape. Awesome product that every bowler should have.

This was EXACTLY what I was looking for. A few months before I purchased this, I bowled and tore the skin from my thumb. I know I was probably doing something wrong and need to correct but I couldn't do that if my thumb was all tore up. After my purchase I used a small piece on the side of my thumb and bowled. It was strong enough to stay on while I bowled but light enough that I didn't even notice I was wearing it. I bowled 4 straight games without a single issue and my scores actually went up. I definitely support correcting your issues the right way but in the meantime if you need something to get you by, this is the product for you!

Tough for me to compare versus other bowling finger tape since this is the only one I've tried, but it works fine. Helps when my hand isn't swollen and need the extra space in there. Ball doesn't catch on the tape at all, and if/when my hand starts swelling I can take off the tape and next to no residue on my fingers. I'd try other tapes just to see if there's a difference, but this one does what it's supposed to do.

Very durable bowling tape! I'm used to using Hadda Patches but I wanted to cut my custom sized pieces so i decided to try this tape out. Sometimes the hadda patches would slip off or wrinkle after 1 game or so, this tape is good after 3! The only thing different about this and the blue hadda patches are the thickness is about twice as thick as the blue hadda patches.

First couple of layers didn't stick very well.

I bought this tape because I have issues with rubbing the skin off the side of my thumb. I found I need to also wear a thumb sock for a clean release. The tape goes on easily, is slightly stretch-able and comes off without hardly any residual "glue" on my thumb. I like the combination of the tape and thumb sock over putting tape in the thumb hole (personal preference). No more issues with my thumb. If I run out, which looks like that will take some time even though I use 3-4 strips each night, I would definitely purchase this again.

What a game changer! I use this on my index and middle fingers to prevent the sides of my fingers from getting destroyed. For some reason I always develop calluses that would dry and then crack, causing pain and discomfort if I bowled again during the week as my cuts would heal. So far this tape has worked great. Wish I tried it sooner!
