It uses different fun it other games so took a few minutes to figure out the rules but, once we began to play, it was straightforward enough that we all caught on after a couple of rounds. It was just enough brain stimulation to keep adults engaged and kids challenged but not so difficult that the fun wasn’t found. It was interesting to watch how the 13 year old used strategies to try and trick us into guessing the wrong spy so we would go out before her. And she quickly assessed and (incorrectly) guessed our spy IDs. It was fun and quick and competitive and we enjoyed playing it a few times in a row during the holidays with family. Parents and kids will have fun!! It takes 15-30 per round. Faster with fewer players Definitely more fun with more players because the challenge becomes real with all spys in the game!!! We had players aged 10-60 enjoying this game. I’d suggest this as a family game to play with friends and to gift for sure!! The cards fit in a nice box and can easily be out into a purse or carryon bag when traveling.

This is a great family game that is easy to learn and play. If you like this the board game version is great too.

Great card game! I'm not a huge fan of figuring out a new game, but this one was super easy and fun to learn. My husband and I played it with two of our friends; we only had to glance over the instructions once and were rolling. I enjoyed the concept of the alley. You need to collect all four of your specific cards in order to win the game, but any cards you add to your alley are also visible for your opponents to see and provide hints revealing your identity (correctly guessing an opponent's identity eliminates them from the game). Trying to build that alley while protecting your identity is pretty tricky. What made it doable were the different wild cards. The fact that the wild cards weren't a total freebie like other games made it more difficult to complete your alley, but also made it more difficult for opponents to guess your identity. The only thing I might change is adding two or three more spies to make it harder to guess each others' identities. The cards themselves are great quality and the illustrations are creative and fun. We enjoyed the strategy and speed of the game. Will definitely be a new staple in our game cupboard and a go-to gift for family and friends.

We liked that it's quick to learn and easy to play. We only played with two people so that may have been why we only thought it was okay for entertainment. We own over 375 board/card games and this one was okay. Too easy for us to know the other person's secret identity. Maybe it would be more challenging if we had to focus on other people playing as well. We will give it a try with multiple people but probably one we won't go back to again and again ...that being said we REALLY enjoy the main board game of Spy Alley. Now that's a fun game!!

My kids and grandkids have really enjoyed playing the Spy Game board game. I bought the Spy Game card game so we can play it while traveling. We enjoy the card game a lot, but the board game is more fun.
