Amico 24 Pack 8 Inch LED Recessed Light with Junction Box, 5CCT, 1500LM

Easy to install.

I bought 48 and installed 46 of these lights just over two years ago. Installation was simple and I have loved the extra lighting all around our home. Recently one light began to flicker slightly so I replaced it with one of the two spares I had left over from two years ago. The replacement is working flawlessly. I contacted Amico with info about the light that had begun to flicker and they responded immediately to say they would replace the light and junction box that had failed. I had only installed a new LED disc, but Amico suggested I replace the junction box in combination with a new LED disc because of the possibility the flickering was somehow being caused by the power supply in the junction box. A new light and junction box arrived to my door step in less than 48 hours with no charge and no hassle. I will swap out the installed junction box and light disc for the new ones this week. I love the lights I bought from Amico, and now I am also super impressed with their customer service: 1 failed light in two years out of 46 installed is pretty darn good, and the immediate replacement is even better. I’ll be honest, I bought these because the reviews were solid and the price was better than what my electrician had spec’d out. Once they were installed though, I immediately noticed random flickering and buzzing. Instant regret. My electrician was stumped, so I reached out to Amico directly for direction. I was impressed by how fast they responded. They got back to me right away, asked what dimmer switch I was using, and explained exactly why the flickering and buzzing were likely happening. They pointed me to a compatible dimmer they had already tested with their lights (Lutron DVCL-153P-WH) and that was it. Problem solved immediately. No more buzzing, no more flickering. Sizing Is just right for the room and they are really bright and nice to look at all. You can adjust the color temperature by switch prior to installing. These lights are easy to install, look great, and now perform exactly as advertised. But honestly, the customer service is what puts this purchase over the top. In a world where getting a helpful response from a company feels like a miracle, Amico came through fast and with real answers. Very happy with this purchase and would absolutely buy from them again.

I like the wafer lights that this company offers. I bought 24 of them a while ago and only recently installed them in my basement. They are pretty straight forward and were easy to install in my basement ceiling before hanging drywall with the use of new construction recessed light mounting plates like this: https://a.co/d/03Zre90w. HOWEVER, this company likes to change the specs of their lights. Maybe its just innovation, maybe its planned obsolescence, I dont know. Therefore new lights are not backwards compatible with old boxes. Do your self a favor and order extra or even double the lights up front so you arent cutting out drywall to replace the entire unit when an LED fails. They are still significantly cheaper then big box store offerings even when ordering 2x.

My go to every time someone needs recess lighting installed. Super easy to install. Junction box comes with the light. Different levels of light intensity makes it a great product for any room or space.
