Great ATO for the price😊
I would like to start of buy saying I have been in the aquarium hobbies for over a decade and had always taken steps to reduce evaporation as much as reasonably possible. However after many years of topping off my tanks manually I decided to look in to an ATO, after reading many reviews and seeing a few videos I settled on this one and I'm glad I did. The ATO is very simple to to set up in just a few minutes. The sensor that goes inside of your aquarium is very small and the magnet used to secure it in place feels adequately strong enough that I'm not worried about it falling inside of my aquarium. I purchased a smallish 7 gallon water container one would use for camping to use as a reservoir for hold additional water and the small pump head fits very nicely inside. So far it has been working great. There is very and I mean very little noise heard from the pump when it kicks into action and the only time I've heard it was when everything in the room is shut off and its stone silent in the room. The only draw back that I can think that may throw some people off is the sensor it's self is a very very bright night light so best not to use in a bedroom I'd say if you like the dark that is but seeing as the aquariums in question are located in my home office / game room it doesn't bother my in the least. I have plugged my ATO into a smart plug to make water changes and gravel vacuuming easier as I can disable it while doing so. Hopefully people find this review helpful. 😊

Does the job
Working great so far. Been using this to pump water from our main tank filter to another smaller tank. Havn't had any issues yet, I'll be sure to update if needed. Nice to take advantage of our main system. I might cover the light with a sharpy later. No leaking yet.

Buyer beware! Designed to break. Low grade disposable product.
I've now purchased 3 times. All 3 of these are absolutely garbage. They work for ruffly 1 to 6 months and then ultimately fail.Reviews say it's great, but notice none of the reviews mention "Years of use".Longevity wise, this gets 1 out of 10. Waste of money. The pump is a 2 out of 10. It's slow, small and breaks easily. It's the kind of pump you'd expect to pay about $1 for.The sensors are NOT water proof and in fact the sensors will take in water and then create a film inside that destroys the sensor. All in all, this is an epic waste of money. Amazon should be ashamed to sell this product, as it's designed to break and you will need to replace it again and again and again.Quite frankly, I'd like my cash back. This is a scam product in which I have 3 of. 3 is enough to prove a point. If the seller or anyone at Amazon would care to interject, maybe we could establish some accountability. For this product, there is none.Buyer beware. This is a disposable product with a shirt lifespan. Absolutely rubbish.

Small mighty and effective
Simple mechanism, and it works very very well. The flow is quick and the machinery is actually rather quiet, which is good. The only note to worry about is in the beginning or if it’s not been submerged in the water, sometimes the pump won’t pull in water. All it is, you just nudge it a few times; chances are, there’s air stuck in there and you have to knock the air bubbles out of there so it can pull in the water. Bought two of these for the price of one, so certainly worth the purchase.

At first didn’t work but now it does
Although at first it flooded my floor twice, and dropped my salinity, I have it a third chance and now is working like a charm, dunno what changed

One of the Best Investments in your Aquarium
This little gadget has been a lifesaver for me! One less thing to worry about when keeping an aquarium. I would also lists this in my must have pieces of equipment. Very easy to put together (even without instructions) and works like a charm! I use for all my fish tanks! If it ever doesn't work for some reason, shutting off the power and rebooting does the trick every time.

Top Tier Service
I purchased one of these last summer, For whatever reason, after about 6 month,s it stopped working.I messaged the seller, and within an hour, they responded and, without me asking, requested my address. They sent me a brand new ato unit, not just a pump. They were quick and responsive. These little pumps are going to fail over time. But I did not expect them to handle this swiftly, let alone at all. 5/5 customer service and support.

Ok for the price. Don't expect it to last too long.
I don't want to completely diminish this product. It's not hard to assemble or use. It's small and indiscreet if you can cover the light of the sensor. For the price you pay it's decent.I do worry that the sensor maybe isn't as water proof as it needs to be. It will likely stop working before a year. I have purchased two. One is still going the other has a solid red light when powered on and in place and will no longer operate. I have tried using both distilled water and 99% alcohol to clean the sensor and it has not worked. I even soaked the sensor in alcohol overnight. The only other thing I can think to try is maybe cleaning the pump. I'm pretty certain it is finished though. If you can, try to place the unit and disturb it as little as possible. I think when I removed it recently and let it dry that was what ultimately did it in.Simple set up and mechanism. Decent price and design. Poor longevity.
