I received 12 pairs all in the same pattern in 3 colours so no not 12 different pairs as i expected,

There were 4 designs 3 pair of each hope that helps they are great

how long or high are these mens socks

How long or high they are when worn I think would depend on the size of your feet. Mine are size 11 and on me the socks measure 8" from the bottom of my heel and 5" from the top of my foot. Hope this helps.

Are these really hand wash only?

Wrapping says can be machine washed at 40 but no tumble drying
