DAE Violet Hour Purple Shampoo - Fights Brassiness, Enhances Color

I finally ran out of my last purple shampoo and figured I should maybe try a new one. The last one didn’t seem to work very well, it was super drying, and it had a really strong “old lady” scent. I came across this and figured it had enough good reviews for me to at least give it a try. I’m so glad I did. As soon as my hair dried after the first use, I could tell it made a major difference in the brassy tones my grey and balayaged hair had. I decided I’d use it again for a second day in a row, and I feel like it made a small but noticeable improvement again. I don’t intend on using this daily, so it should last me a while, and because it works so well, I don’t think I’ll be looking for an alternative when this runs out. It’s expensive, but for a product that works as intended, it feels worth it. I also really like the scent more than my last shampoo. It also feels thick and a little goes a long way - it lathers up really well. My only gripe might be the packaging. I don’t look forward to when the product is running low and having to figure out how to get the last bit out. The pump also only dispenses a tiny amount at a time, but to me this is more acceptable since it will help me limit how much product I use since I feel like I need much less of this than other hair products.

When I had a less than stellar color job recently I turned to this to tamp down the over-blondeing and it works great! Heavy purple pigment, leaves my hair soft (some purple shampoos can be very drying), great lathering for a purple, and works wonders! You don't need to spend the money on higher priced products...and I do sometimes, but this is great.

Smells good and lathers well but the toning is pretty mild/ineffective even if you leave it in for your whole shower.

The sent and how it affects my hair is great. The problem with Dae is the bottle design. At the very end of it's useful life it's next to impossible to get the final product out of the container. If it came in a bottle I could easily empty I would buy from them again. Felt like way too much energy was spent trying to get the final amount of product out of the bottle

I just love this shampoo. I’m very fussy because about shampoo for colored hair it because it’s hard to find a good one. It made my hair feel very clean, soft and it smells great too. I will definitely buy this shampoo again. It’s very reasonably priced also.

Game changer. Most of the purple shampoo I use leaves my hair feeling dry after prolonged use. This brightens my hair, takes out the brass, and leaves my hair soft and smell amazing. I have naturally blond hair and this product has changed my life. This is the only purple shampoo I am using from now on

I have used it once every one or two weeks to brighten my blonde highlights. It does a nice job and the change is noticeable. A little goes a long way so I feel the value is worth it for a product that works. You will definitely need a high quality conditioner after using - I currently use Pureology Hydrate conditioner with it and it’s perfect.

The shampoo itself is great. Definitely would give five stars. however the pump on the bottle does not work. Getting the product out and the correct amount is messy and frustrating.
