Prevents squirrels from climbing into roof
Squirrel infestation solved!!! I live in North Carolina where squirrels cost home owners a crap load of $$ in repair, detestation, and electric fires. This worked for my squirrel infestation problem! 1). Using a measuring tape I measured, with 1 inch overlap on each side 2) marked the product with a sharpie, then cut 3) fastened with an exterior screw (so it won’t rust) to each side of the wood that the gutter is attached to, (wrapping them around the gutter. I placed them higher up on all the gutters so that no one accidentally pokes their head because they are very sharp! Use gloves! Try not to bend the spikes out of place. After initial install I could see that the mom was staking out my house to find another way in….she climbed the brick chimney only to find that I fixed her entry point, so then I put the product around the portion of the chimney below the roof. This product does a great job prevent squirrels from climbing up anymore , now she can’t chew her way back in. Unfortunately her babies got trapped in my attic and expired. It smelled for about a few days. 🥲 Realize that if you have launch points from shrubs or other structures that enable a squirrel onto your roof, figure out a solution for that too. Luckily I removed all shrubs & trees etc that were close to my house, because that’s how they originally gained entry into the roof, where they then chewed thru the roof gable vents.

Best thing ever invented
I wrapped this around the ball on the top of my mailbox to prevent the multiple piles of bird excrement I was repeatedly having to clean up. I used the wires included to attach it & a touch of super glue in the middle to adhere it to the ball. It worked fabulously. Not a bird in sight for over 5 months. Took me 5 minutes! Woohoo!

Bird poop destroyed my remote weather station.
A little early to give a definite answer on deterrent of birds but I can say the quality is very good, easy to attach so I’ll have to give it a week or two to determine effectiveness.

Squirrels PREVENTION/ME and my Pecan Trees... HOW I FINALLY WON!
I have 6 large pecan trees, and last year they were 'loaded', but I only got 1 SINGLE PECAN (ONE!!!)! The squirrels had removed an estimated 2500+ pecans by August! It is now October, and with the 'Bird/Squirrel SPIKES' the squirrels have managed to get EXACTLY NONE! YES!!! They are a little difficult/dangerous to place on the trees (ABOUT 4+ FEET OFF THE GROUND), but THEY WORK! I also wrapped one on a board that they used to come across to the top of my home. You will probably get 'poked' when you install them(!), WEAR HEAVY DUTY LEATHER GLOVES! Or similar. BUT THE SPIKES WORK! I also put them around neighboring trees to prevent 'jumping' to the pecan trees. TAKE NOTE: If there is a way around these (like jumping from another type of tree) they may do so! I also wrapped the other trees (oak/maple) nearby! Yes, I had tried trapping, poisoning, gun... THE SPIKES ARE ONLY THING THAT WORKS!

Not effective against squirrels
Not effective at all. Installed as directed but Squirrels step right over the spikes and climbed up deck posts.

Great critter deterrent for corn feeders.
Excellent for use on corn feeder legs to deter critters from climbing them. Wrap them loosely in a spiral about 2 ft long on each leg and secure with zip ties and nothing will climb up. The points are RAZOR sharp and will poke you to the bone, I know. Leather gloves are a must for handling this stuff.
