A rare 5-star review. The cats, my wife and I have never been disappointed by any of the things we've gotten from Cat Amazing. This toy is a great example. It is well made, easily worth what we paid for it, and we find no defects, no small things that say it was made in a hurry. The wand is strong metal, not the cheap, fragile junk so much is made from. It's extendable, moves smoothly, and doesn't make me be as careful as the other flimsy little things others make do. The attachment at the tip of it is welded. The cord that connects the wand to the toy part is strong, and replaceable if it ever fails. The toys at the end are magnetically connected to another magnet on the cord end. Magnet is strong enough to stay connected, but gives so a cat can actually catch the thing. That's important. The magnets are secure, so cat's can't chew it off and swallow it. There are replacement toys, a package of five, plus two in the pack with the wand. Our cats love this thing! I've made similar toys for them, so I feel qualified to recommend this product. Cat Amazing sourced a strong wand for it, I couldn't find one as good as this. The magnets are just right. The toys are varied. The whole thing is just great, according to the cats. We agree with them, because cats. We recommend this thing, and anything else Cat Amazing makes. We've tried them all, and never once have they failed to be amazing. This earned a full five stars. We paid for this and everything we've got from Cat Amazing. We're not in any way related to or compensated by the seller, we love our cats and do our best to provide an enriched environment for them. This fun toy is a classic, and we heartily recommend it.

My cats love this so much! They are so proud to be able to walk away with their hunt. It’s as much fun for me to use. The design is super well thought out. I love the way it telescopes. To put it away is easy. The string can wrap to the bottom and then up and back around and then is held in place. It’s easy to put in a bag and put away for supervised use. The cats do know where I store it! I plan to get the set with the different attachable toys. It’s super nice to go fishing with the magnet and bring their catch back to life. Totally worth the price. I’m gonna clear out most of our other older poles that we’ve collected over time. I do recommend this cat toy!

Update to my initial review: This toy now has a new, much stronger magnet attachment and it's perfect! The wand can now be swung around without the toy flying off and my cats are able to grab the toy and run away with it. I'm so happy they're able to enjoy hunting/catching now. It's a very fun toy to add to our rotation. I like the idea of this toy very much and when my cats were able to grab the toy, they seemed to enjoy it. The major issue is that the magnets are SUPER weak and the toy detaches when moving it around, so I spent more time trying to reattach it vs. playing with the cats. I also wish that the string or wand want so rigid so the you could move around better.

Updated! With the updated magnets, the toy has good grip. I found the right combination for my cat was one updated black magnet and one regular strength orange one. With the magnets holding well, the wand's faults were more apparent, though. Something about the rigidity, the weight, the length, or maybe the material of the string still makes it difficult to swing around, not as smooth maybe if I were outside with all the space I could want? I'd have broken lamps if I tried to fly the bird around the way I do the normal fishing pole type wands. I've made a toy out of the magnets and toy attachments from the cat Amazing wind and an old broken wand that had no end. This is cat's new favorite toy. Hours of fun. -- The wand itself is a seriously strong and sturdy thing. It telescopes nicely, and I love the way it compacts neatly. No more wirey unwieldy thing trying to put it away, but I wonder if it's too sturdy? There's something off about the movement of the toy. I think the fishing pole like material wands are typically made of might add to the ability to flick and play with twitchy, natural critter movements. Idk, maybe it's the string? The string is an actual string. Much heavier than the typical wire thread others use. It's limp unless in motion, which is impossible to do because of the weak magnetic bond. The core concept is that the cats can snatched the toy from you for a more realistic hunt, but the magnet is so weak. Weak weak weak! Another person said this same thing, the toy comes off with any amount of resistance, be that fast movement, changing direction, or pulling it gently over a rug. My cat never got the chance to snatch anything. It just kept falling off. The slow movement I could achieve was boring for him and it didn't hold his interest. That said, once the toy was off the wand, my cat loved bating around the squirrel himself. Also, he enjoyed chasing after the magnetic end of the wand with no attachment at all. Needs a little more development before it hits the market for real

Update 11/10/23: The company reached out to the beta testers based on all the feedback they got about the weak magnets and sent us an updated, stronger magnet for free! All the attachments now stay put until the kitties pull on them! That’s why I updated my review from 4 to 5 stars . This is an amazing company that truly cares about making exceptional products for kitties. ===== I love the wand and the idea! The Catamazing team did it again! The kitties went crazy over it, even forgot to bug me for breakfast. The wand is sturdy and once you extend it, it stays securely extended and doesn’t willy-nilly retract. I also love that you can quickly get another toy while one kitty is playing with the one they just “caught” , and entertain the other kitty. With other wand toys they need to play in series and my male cat loses interest. The one and only thing I would change about this wand is having a stronger magnet . The feather is pretty heavy and thrashing it alone sometimes releases it. I also want my cat to catch and pull vs just tap and have it flying off the magnet . They were caught by surprise when they got the toy and the wand was still in the air . 7 out of 10 times they would keep chasing the string with the orange magnet at the end 🤣 Even as is, I still recommend it, you may need to adjust how you play with it to keep it the toy on the wand a bit longer .

This cat toy seemed like a great idea - my cats love the fishing wands and this one is designed to actually let them "catch" their prey. The rod is collapsible and feels VERY sturdy and is neatly designed with grooves to store the line when not in use. It also comes with a duplicate feather toy. However, 3 design flaws: 1) The clasp is magnetic. It's a pretty strong magnet so that you can fling the toy around and not detach through normal movement. That's great. Unless you live somewhere in tight quarters with metal bits around like heater covers, nails in floorboards etc. and that strong magnet just sticks to everything else instead. 2) The clasp is a plastic cap. I have wooden floors so it is LOUD. 3) The clasp looks small enough to swallow and not permanently attached to the feather toy (you slip it like threading a paperclip). So unfortunately this toy will see little use in my household. But if you have carpets, large open spaces to play, and can overlook the clasp, it should be a fun time.

I bought this and the additional 5 pack of toys for my new kitten. While the new magnets work great, Im disappointed in the durability. I didn't think I would be, but... The toy was fully telescoped/extended and my daughter unknowingly sat on it, so it bent in half. I only had the darn thing for two weeks, if that. This is the issue with telescoping wand toys, even if 'heavy duty.' :( Also, drop the price to $15 and you'd find many more buyers. And offer singular toys, so if my cat prefers the scrunchy toy, I dont have to spend $20 on the 5 pack. I spent $40 and it lasted two weeks! The additional toys are now useless. Very sad.

All four of my cats absolutely love this cat wand! The shock on their faces the first time they realized they could carry the feather toy away! They will jump in the air for it when they get super excited. They sometimes run away with whatever toy attachment I have on the cat wand. I have fun watching them and going after them for the toy. Some other things to note, make sure to put away after playing. Everyone’s cats are different but mine love to chew the string if I give them a chance. Same with plastic bits. It feels sturdy and good quality. Collapsible design makes it easy to store away. It does feel pricey, but definitely worth it in my opinion. It comes with just one attachment toy, but I noticed you can hook on your own homemade toys on the magnetic end attached to the feather toy. I’m lazy and bought the attachment pack lol. The cats love them all. Kevin the orange cat loves the crinkle ball attachment. Also magnetic end of cat wand can swing back and hit you lol. I was so shocked and laughed.

Fantastic toy — my cat absolutely loves it and goes wild every time I bring it out! It’s super fun, easy for him to detach the toy himself, and I love how it folds up neatly for quick storage. After lots of energetic play, I’ve noticed it can detach from the wand a bit more easily than at first, and the feathers on the attachments wear out quicker than I’d prefer — but that just shows how much fun he’s having with it! Occasionally it gets caught on furniture during play, but it’s nothing that takes away from the enjoyment. Overall, it’s a wonderful toy that keeps my cat entertained and active — I’d happily recommend it to any cat owner!

Amazing cat toy!

My two boys, Maple & Onyx, LOVE feather 🪶 toys & wands. They absolutely loved this wand & the feather attachment. The wand is high quality and durable. I don’t foresee it breaking anytime soon. Our cats are pretty rough on their toys and have broken wands in the past. I am confident this wand will be around in our house for years to come. It’s easy to use & retracts very small for storage when not in use. Overall I’m VERY please with my purchase and I would/will be considering purchasing more items from this brand/seller. The feathers are great quality which I also appreciate as my boys LOVE to lick and chew on them & these feathers are holding up to their silliness. The wand is also a nice long length when fully extended, but can be adjusted shorter as well.

Why has no one else thought of this before ever?! This is brilliant and enables kitty to express her real hunting instincts when she "catches the prey" without dragging and whipping a large plastic rod around the house.

My cat loved the toy which is a win however i didn’t enjoy the hold of the stick and the string is a bit long plus the toy can fall off pretty easy if you move it quickly which is what my cat likes. but she also enjoyed when i just threw the feathers and she would play fetch. plus the extra attachment to make your own toy is super neat! overall great idea thank you!
