Just received, comparing to my old unbranded worn out pliers. The new ones are OK, just the small one is more wobbly and less precise, a bit of irritating misalignmet everywhere, but the jaws close straight. The material of the jaws became harder (compared by marking it with a centre punch and hammer) compared to the old forged steel jaws. The jaws, sheet material of the arms and the pivot are thicker, the feeling on the arms is about the same except that the new pliers are more difficult to unlock. The plastic handles are a nice addition, although upon comparing not sure if they are essential. The jaws open wider than in the old ones. It seems that all modern designs of locking pliers (e.g. these, Milwaukee, Stanley, etc.) have switched to attaching the upper jaw to the arms by using brasing with brass alloy instead of riveting - so you can see fewer rivets now. It is probably due to avoiding hard impacts on the new hardened CrV parts during riveting. A downside is the gap needed for brasing, which leads to more wobbling. An advantage of these pliers with CrV jaws is that they will grab better the automotive bolts and studs grade 8.8 and above, as CrV is harder and will bite into their surface. A minor annoyance is the limiter on the "over-centre" type of locking mechanism being a bit too far over the centre, which requires quite a pull to unlock the pliers. So, happy with the purchase. Good for occasional use.

Well made solid grips easy on the hand, well worth the cost.

Bought these as a bolt head snapped off and the rest was still in the engine block. Wanted to grab the rest of the thread but when tightened for better grip the handle and jaws buckled so there was no real grip. Probably grand for little jobs but nothing too strenuous. Would spend the extra money and get a good solid one if I could do it again. Buy cheap buy twice.

Does what you expect them to do

These are some of the good ones. Made well and comfortable to use. Easy to spot in situations where you have a lot of things around you. I love this upgraded version of their tools, great quality and exceeds expectations.

Cinq étoiles compte tenu du prix. Bien sûr qu'il s'agit d'un outillage premier prix. L'ergonomie n'est pas top. Les manches ont du jeu... Mais il fait parfaitement le job pour un usage courant (soudure, maintien divers...) les trois pinces sont très pratiques et sont venues remplacer du matériel de même facture.
