What is the average size of the bark pieces?

3/4-1”. Some pieces are thin while others are thick and more of a chunk. I use it with my cymbidium mix and have had great success. It is bark only.

Can I freeze the bags to kill the bugs?

I love this bark. All I had to do was cover the top of the dirt in the pot with this and it cured by bug problem. I love the look too!

Is this good for zz plant?

Wow. Quality control? Its been greatt but the last 4 bags i bought (at once) had varying probs. And the sizes??? Why are they all massive pieces now?

This is the last bag I bought of the bark, I thought it was as chunky as it should be. I'm thinking yours is just a different batch a different week or month or day that it was produced and everything can't be exact so I really don't have a better answer for you. I use it as an extra aeration to my soils along with perlite and peat moss
