Dense weave, double coated (front & back), keeps it from absorbing liquids.
Edges do not fray when cut! Polyurethane coating on back, water proof coating on front.Never having had my hands on 1680d material before, it is MUCH lighter than I thought it would be.Based on my initial testing, may be difficult to cut this on a Cricut or similar machine. I have a pair of heavy duty titanium coated shears that I can easily cut 10oz cotton duck canvas & jeans with, but this material was problematic with them. I switched to a pair of micro-serrated edge shears & was easy going from there.I'm going to attempt to laminate this together to make skid pads, and some other small projects. I got this material instead of carbon fiber or Kevlar due to the relative ease of cutting and relatively cheap cost. From what I'm seeing so far, it should work as expected!!!

Tough!
I don't know much about fabric but I can tell this stuff is tough. I made a basket on a cargo bike for my dog to fit in. It looks awesome I'm sure it will hold up well (only doubts I have is my sewing) I had enough left to make a pouch for my folding saw. I will be ordering more to make more stuff.

Durable
Very durable material. Used it to make a bed for my dog.

Nice rugged fabric perfect for my use.
Nice rugged fabric I bought to make a roll up drill bit pouch for my large SDS Max hammer drill bits. Heavy enough to last but still able to be sewed by a machine that can do denim. Being water proof adds to the wear and tear resistance and it is enough to seal but not so much it feels like a rubber backing.

Well made. Strong fabric.
Nice and sturdy with a quality feel. Used to repair tears in a water repellent boat cover. It’s much higher quality than the original material of the cover as well as a new outboard engine cover I purchased.

Extremely durable
Do you have a dog that shreds beds like they're made of tissue paper? Are you on the quest for indestructible dog bed material? If so, look no further. This is not completely indestructible, but it holds up way longer than anything else I've tried. I have a 9 month old Pyr that has made it his life's mission to annihilate any and all fabric he can find. "Heavy-duty" beds last less than 30 minutes (although their destruction brings him great joy). This stuff took him months to make a hole, and even longer to expand the hole to the point is was a problem. I screwed this to a PVC frame, so I can't say how well it holds stuffing, but it's tough stuff.

Unfortunately will not stop .30 cal pellet @500fps
I wanted to use this fabric as a secondary backstop to AR500 steel targets for ancillary poor shots. Well tried single at 500fps. No go. Tried double. No go. Tried tripple. That’s a maybe with a soft backstop. Needless to say it’s to expensive to be using layers for a 5’x5’ backstop. It seems great for lower calibers with airguns ONLY! Otherwise great fabric for other uses. Next since I have bought a large roll I’ll try using either liquid acrylic to build up a thicker surface with 2 layers and see how it goes or use fiberglass to build the same backstop. This would still be lighter than using heavier more costly steel.
