Absolutely love this set. It matches my existing stoneware italian countryside, is much lighter and is dishwasher safe on delicate cycle without the heating element and air drying. Perfect size cereal bowls.

Surprised and very pleased at the high quality and lovely design of this dinnerware - NOT your Grandma's Melmac, at all. Even my ever-picky kids like it, after first being shocked that I would buy "plastic dishes", they love the look and weight. Thank you for the excellent design and quality - not going back!

Most melamine dinnerware looks nothing like fine china, and I know fine china. This set is beautiful & so practical, at a fraction of the price of fine china. Mikasa is a quality brand that makes products at various price points. This is set is very affordable & a classic design that will never go out of style.

I just received these yesterday, purchased on Big Deal Day. They are substantial being heavier than the old melamine of years past. The pattern mirrors the Mikasa Italian Countryside dishes I have owned for 20 years now. I am so very pleased with these dishes. The dinner plates and salad plates are the same size and the bowls are just a bit bigger than the fruit bowls in the regular dish set. I can't rate durability since I haven't used them yet.

I can't believe I missed the word "outdoor" in the description. I really have got to start reading more. It's a durable set, no doubt, but it's PLASTIC. I missed that part. I was surely expecting ceramic or porcelain. With it being plastic, I think there's a huge gap in the value for the money. The size of the large plate is nice, but the circle in the middle doesn't hold much food. The good thing that I can say is that the set is certainly well built and sturdy. The bowls are deep and will hold a good portion. I expect the set to last a long time. This set is good for a outdoor picnic or adult birthday party by the pool.
