I am so impressed with this little set. I bought two of these for my sons to take camping and hunt for critters. One kiddo caught one bug. It was something fairly basic like a rolly polly. It was a catch and release. Yes, we could see the bug well. But what has me so impressed is how durable all of the pieces are. At one point the tweezers were used for digging. The bug-catcher-scissor-type things were used for carrying around bouncy balls. The bug habitat has been repeatedly filled with rocks and dirt. And nothing has broken, yet. This has entertained both of my boys for hours while camping. A must have for my family!

My daughter LOVES bugs! So I got this for her for her birthday. She loves it! She now can catch the bugs and look at them through the magnifying glass. Keeps her entertained for hours!

My granddaughter loves catching ladybugs (and any other bugs she can find) and watching them in this little observation holder. It has been durable and is the perfect size for her to carry around for inside and outside entertainment.

I ordered this bug catcher kit as a surprise for a camping trip with my 4-year-old grandson, who absolutely loves bugs. He was thrilled! With a little help, he caught plenty of bugs—even a few butterflies—and was engaged for many hours a day.He especially loved the bubble tongs and used the net mainly for butterflies. He wasn’t very interested in the tweezers, but the kit overall was a big hit.The only downside was that one of the small plastic pins that secure the lid latch broke within just a couple of days. My grandson is a very gentle, calm child and carried it around carefully with his beloved bugs, so I believe the pin just wasn’t sturdy enough. We ended up using duct tape to keep the lid secure.It’s a fun and exciting kit for curious little explorers—just wish the plastic lid pin was made a bit more durable.

Great!! Grandkids LOVE IT!! So far housed Lady Bugs, worms and a grasshopper. After a day or so, they were released. Highly recommend

I bought this kit for my sisters and I to use as a habitat for the butterflies we captured. Do be warned that it is quite small, but it’s the perfect size for a ton of bugs. It comes with other features as well, such as scissors for capturing insects and tweezers. This product was durable, but my sisters broke it soon after we bought it. It kept my sisters outside, so it’s very enjoyable for little ones who are fascinated with insects. It performed well and it was worth the money.
