does it work short (a little longer than pixie) hair?

Hi I had difficulty with my hair and it’s about a neck bob length. I found that you have to hold your hair out and slide it down the hair in order to straighten. There is nothing to grab the hair. This caused my ends to turn up. I’m not great at doing my hair, but think really short hair may be difficult. There’s videos online in case it’s just me. I have the Lange blow dryer straightener the.newer one that gets to the roots which works better for me. Love the products but I returned mine.
