Camping
Haven't tried this out yet, maybe too late in the year now. Maybe not, as this has a high hydrostatic head rating for the tent and ground sheet. It is good quality, and made with good material. I've watched a video about it and it looks very easy to erect. Good size for just me, plenty of ventilation and large opening/porch. Want to try it out before autumn closes, if I can get a break with the weather. Happy camping!

Comfy, spacious tent at a very reasonable price.
If you want a large and luxurious tent for camping on even ground then I would highly recommend this tent. Despite the price, it still light and protective enough for multi-day camping, packing down to a manageable size. I brought this with me on my trip to Corsica to do the northern part of the Gr20. This very hard trip pushed me and my kit to their limits, including the tent. Considering the price, I came away very satisfied. One day, the weather turned and we were hit with torrential rain out of nowhere. We had to rapidly throw up our tents at a campsite. The rain got so bad, that my father's tent was flooded by a huge puddle that built up around it. As he was cold and shivering, we decided to share this tent for the night. While it was snug, we could both fit in well with all of our kit and stayed dry. My only problem was being able to get the tent properly pitched on the rough, loose and stony soil of Corsica's mountains. Often I was forced to work with small scraps of flat ground on steep slopes. The tent has two curved poles running in parallel, perpendicular to the direction of the tent's entrance. This means that the tent will only stand up, if the 2 pairs of pegs at the front and the back are secured firmly in the soil. At times I difficulty with this, BUT I was able to make the tent stand, but loosely and with reduced internal capacity. I don't consider this to be a major failure, as I don't think this was the sort of thing the designers intended it for. Just be aware that this tent does its best on flat terrain and firm soil. Pros -Lots of headspace, large internal volume -Fits two average sized men snugly as long as the kit is kept in the vestibule. For one man, it is a luxurious experience. -Reasonable weight, for the size and price I paid (It cost me £68.10 when I bought mine in 2018, but I still think it is worth it at the current price.) -Held up in torrential rain, kept me and my father completely dry. Cons -Large ground footprint -Not freestanding. If the front or back pegs come loose, then the tent will collapse. In practice this is only a problem if you are forced to pitch the tent on loose, stoney, uneven ground.

A good wild camping tent , easy to pitch , spacious 🏕
This is an easy to pitch tunnel tent with two aluminium lightweight poles and a good front porch for gear , boots. It's quite lightweight at around 2.6kg , easy to pitch , I like the green colour , it blends in well with natural surroundings. The inner tent is spacious, Ventilated and there are pockets inside for storing items , flashlights and other small items. The inner is bright orange, its quite wide and suitable to use as a solo tent or it would be good for a couple maybe for camping or festivals. I personally think it makes a good solid and spacious one man tent. There's definitely room for your backpack and boots in the vestibule porch area. The tent is waterproof at 5000hh, once you have attached the inner tent the whole tent pitches as one, once guyed out it is a very sturdy structure and stands up well to wind and rain. A good budget option for wild camping , festivals , it's a well made tent and it's easy to get back into its bag , the bag is over sized so no problem at all.

What a great tent
There's not as many reviews on the Orion compared to other Vango products, and I only bought it after the banshee sold out on Amazon. I'm so happy it did. The design, the weight and additional space inside is great. It's a very roomy one man tent, with tons of pockets inside to store stuff and hang a light about you. It's built to withstand heavy rain and windy nights. It's sets up in about 10 minutes the first time, but once you've connected the inner and fly layers you can store it away like that for next time. It puts away even faster, maybe 3 minutes. I also liked the Orion because of the bigger vestibule size comoared to the Nevis and banshee, which even if you get caught in the rain you've got somewhere to safely cook your food and store your kit without ramming everything inside the main tent (obviously be careful when cooking and tie the outer tent door up when cooking in the vestibule area so the gas doesn't build up). can't sing this tents praises enough.

Awesome little tent, I'm 5'4" so it's huge for me!
Awesome little tent, I'm 5'4" so it's huge for me! Totally waterproof, no sealer needed, easy to erect, peg the front fly out, insert the poles into the straps, peg the rear two fly points out., then the guys either side. and the pole bottoms. Adjust the TBS system, not tight, not loose, and enjoy! Plenty ventilation for hot weather and depending how you peg the guys, the whole front can be unpegged and folded up, but it's a little 'odd' looking! Cold weather there's enough ventilation to mitigate condensation, but not enough to stop the inner getting and staying warm, and it's easily adjustable, basically a flap at the top rear and undo the door at the top a little (sheltered by the fly with the front and rear of the inner having large mesh vent sections. I love it The Entrance, I don't see it as a vestibule), is just large enough to cook in with the door closed, but top vent open. I use an old fire blanket 2' square to place my stove on the entrance (included) tarp, and it's just large enough to accommodate boots, a pack and wet clothing. Mostly though I keep all my kit inside, it's a small 2 man but large for a 1 man tent. I love it, simple, easy, dependable.

Great tent for a great price
A fantastic tent and a great price, took it on its first camp in swaledale, quick to pitch and quick to pack up,im 6ft 2 and I fit in length way with not much to spare, so if your taller then this isnt for you ,vestibule is great for boots and a little table, plenty of pockets and light hooks front and back of the sleeping area, the vestibule groundsheet is very handy, very good tent would definitely recommend, only had a little wind a light rain but had no issues.

Well designed, backpacking tent
I love this tent even though j haven't used it in the wild yet. I own or have owned an obscene amount of tents and bivi bags and am always looking for the next best one. Can't be bothered to go on you tube otherwise I could give you a comparison but for the money this tent represents a proper good investment. I have other vango tents so yhe weatherproof credentials of this product are pretty safe as for setting up its really straightforward and with practice you can have it up in a few minutes. Taking it down is super quick in the dry, but even when wet and you want to unhook the inner tent for a bit more comfort on your following nights out this doesn't take that long and is well worth the effort. To keep the inner dry you'll need another drybag 4litre? And you'll be able to pack the wet outer tent into the bag provided which is oversized so it allows you to stuff it in quickly and then cinch down the straps for a more compact profile..Great design, with features you expect to see on tents 4 times the price. The only thing I've added is a footprint for a tempest 200 as I couldn't find on for this actual model. It's a bit larger( only slightly) but it keeps your tent in much more usable condition when out for multiple nights

NO Porch Groundsheet & Vango’s indifference
I rarely leave reviews but will in this instance. The tent looked exactly what i wanted. On pitching it looks well made & thought out. Not the lightest but not backpacking with this one. So overall looked good. UNTIL i searched for the advertised ground sheet for the porch. There wasn’t one. This is in the tent assembly instructions in the bag, in the narrative of the adverts & even has pictures with it installed. Now i know that i should have checked the tent within the 1 month amazon returns but it is still well within the 1 year warranty. So I contacted Vango direct. After getting through all the automated stuff they replied ‘it’s a mistake in the instructions for assembly’ & that was it, seeming to forget the text narrative they give in the advert & the actual pictures of the thing. When i challenged this & then asked for anything else to be supplied that I could fit or adapt all I got was ‘we don’t do one for this tent - sorry to disappoint’ Total indifference Now i know i can fabricate something & I probably will. I don’t want compensation or anything like that. Just a more amiable attitude with an offer to exchange, return, a groundsheet option etc. So, ZERO STARS not for the tent just their attitude.

J'espere qu'amazon me fera un geste ...

Great tent for winter and autumn. Very good quality. Not the biggest I'm 1,88M. Very warm in summer.

Vango Orion Tent, Pine, 200
Great little tent so easy and quick to set up. It really does just take only 5 minutes to set up, and if the weather is just terrible it is possible to set it up in moments with 4 pegs for a dry place to hide from the rain. It is nice and compact when packed away, and fits the rear bike rack nicely next to the packed airbed. I have used this tent up in the Swiss Alps and in the German black forests, and it kept me nice and dry even with the full on summer storms. So all in all a very good deal for the money.
