Couldn't have got better even if I'd gone to a Saville Row tailor.
When the knees of my old work cargoes finally had it and I had to resort to gaffer tape to hold them together, out of respect for myself but mainly for my customers, that I decided I had to look for a decent pair of professional work trousers. I looked at 'Dickies and JCB's and other brands, but all just came in Regular length leg. As I am a bit of a short**** I didn't want to work in trousers with 4" turnups, the crotch around my knees and my knee pads around my shins, so you can imagine my surprise when I came across these Apache branded work trousers on Amazon that actually came in a short leg (29") and my waist size (32"). Take note these other brands.."We're not all big fat lard***** in the building game, some of us are still proportionally normal". I was half suspecting that the trousers may just be regulars or long leg trimmed down ( back to the crotch around the knees malarky ), but they aren't. they fit perfect everywhere, from waist (with aid of belt), crotch (just the right amount), the knees are where your knees should be (this helps), and the backside has the right amount of give (clever design of rear pockets...of which I,ll come to now). Pockets..How many do you want? I've counted 18 separate pockets (not including the two knee pad pockets), that will hold anything from your pencil, tape, mobile, nails and screws, small screwdrivers etc., wallet, plans, cuddly toy (No, I made that up). And the material that the trousers and pockets are lined with is really top quality thickness for the purpose they are designed for. You get what you pay for, but with these trousers you do get more for your money in regard of fit, quality, durability, utility and a professional look. I honestly cannot fault them and will buy a second pair.

Unbelievable value / Great piece of kit
Just received these and must say I am absolutely delighted with them. First off, the item was received in two days (a day earlier then indicated). Having ordered a pair sized 34 inch waist / 31 inch leg, I then scrolled through the reviews re sizing. I was a little concerned as some reviews indicated that the sizes came up smaller and there were suggestions that it was better to order one size up. I am a 'full' 34 inch waist and some trousers I own can only be worn on occasions when I haven't had too many pies and beers in the preceding weeks! However, these were extremely comfortable around the waist with scope for slight variation in girth at any given time ... so really pleased! Some reviews also indicated that the trousers were baggy, well mine certainly weren't. They were a really flattering fit, knee pad pockets in the right place and crutch area not too tight. Working outside on hands and knees, jumping in and out of tractors, etc. all appear perfectly capable in these fantastic work trousers. Will they stand the test of time? Only time will tell but at the moment really happy with them ... so much so, just ordered a second pair with delivery due tomorrow.

Very good for DIY
I bought this pair of trousers after reading the reviews on Amazon. Up to this point, I have been using an old pair of denim jeans and carting around a little sponge to kneel on. I'm by no means a heavy construction user, but do enjoy DIY work. These trouser are brilliant to use and comfortable to wear all day. The knee pads are brilliant (I should ave bought them years ago) and the front pockets are increasingly handy to put "things" in. Although I need to be careful in dropping screws absent-mindedly into the smaller "pencil" pockets and having trouble finding them while holding up a shelf with my other hand... The only reason I am not giving these trousers 5 starts is because the Velcro holding the knee pocket closed, keeps opening up when you kneel down. This is not a big deal as the knee pads don't fall out, but just annoying as I would have expected the Velcro to stay shut. The rest of the trousers are constructed from a sturdy material and I'm expecting them to last for years from normal DIY work.

Impressive workwear
Apache undersell these - they are really well made and a delight to wear. They are a slimmer fit so they don't chafe and they have an abundance of generous pockets. I was most impressed that the tool pouches stow inside their own pockets and they don't flap around when you don't need them. The side pockets are vast and easily accommodate Rags or Gloves. The knee-pad pouches are in the right position so no accidents kneeling on stones. Loads of accessory pockets so that you can carry you mobile and testers and the like. A good high waist for comfort. More impressive than the description would lead you to believe. Not had them long enough to rate the wear quality but I think they look like they will be a 5 star.

These are of very good quality; not very expensive and yet both the materials and construction are the real deal for work trousers. They are also pretty much the expected fit IMO; they may be a tiny bit generous for one's 'true' waist size but thats common these days, in this case is easily acceptable, plus no worries if they shrink slightly in the wash. The label describes them as low-rise; though for me at least they are what I consider normal - with the crotch and trouser-bottoms being where they should be, the belt sits conveniently on the hip bones. Thankfully, the style is not as tight-fitting as I perceived from the picture. They're suitably baggy for working in, which (at least in a non-stretchy fabric) I consider to be essential. The legs stick out sideways a little stiffly to begin with of course, the material is quite thick, but all others I've had like this are much better after a bit of wear, which is what they're designed for, so I expect them to be fine after a while.. But unusually, the short-leg version hasn't just been chopped off shorter at the bottom, the knee pad pockets appear to have been positioned appropriately too... so when I kneel down, it is actually on the pad. This innovation seems to be in the realm of witchcraft, from the perspective of some other manufacturers.
