The ability to make your own ethernet connections was a great experience. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The price of the kit is a great value for anyone who is interested in networking their PC or MAC. The tools that came with the kit are of high quality and work well, the crimping tool is easy to use and does a great job. This was my first time using a pass-through ethernet crimper, and while it does make the process easier, it's only by a little bit. You still have to arrange the wires, line them up, trim them, all of that. Just it makes it easier to do the final steps of crimping. For all that, it works well, is built well, and is a handy, compact tool that fits easily in a toolkit.The crimping issues I had were with the blades. The wire stripped twice clipped the wires inside the CAT6 cable. I found I had to be very delicate with closing the tool to prevent this from happening. And when it came to the actual crimp, it's pretty annoying trying to pass the excess cable through the small hole under the blade to push the plug into place. I tried several crimps that failed with the wires not cut down far enough. It takes a bit to get the hang of it.

Inexpensive fully functional tool to strip, cut and finish RJ45 connections which seems to work perfectly and comes with the connectors and covers and very sharp diagonal pliers. And you get the tester. I, on the other hand, required some practice to thread those 8 wires in the correct holes so all the wires lit up on the tester. A must have set of tools if you are running network cables as then your holes in the wall/floor only need to be 5/16" and you aren't running excessively long cables.

This crimping tool and continuity tester worked flawlessly for me without errors. The ability to separate the continuity tester was very valuable to me as I wire homes with Cat 6 and I can be a hundred feet of more from each terminated end to test it. Pass thru connectors are the way to go and makes the termination simple. I would definitely purchase again!

I ordered this Ywnegew RJ45 crimper/cleaver to use with some through hole connectors. I've used them before with another brand crimper, but never felt it did a good job at cutting off the wire ends. This one hasn't done much better. I tried a few different ends and normally came out with the orange/white and brown cables not cleaved. Also, once it is done it looks like the ends are sticking out just a little more than they should. Maybe I'm not doing something right, but overall I do like through hole connectors, just maybe not the crimpers. Otherwise, it feels nice in the hand. You can have it locked and still use it as a cutter and stripper too. Those blades are sharp, and it is nice that it come with a second set.

Rerouted my Ethernet. Tool worked great, most tedious part is ensuring the correct order of wires when re-assembling.

I love pass-through RJ-45 connectors, but I’ve had issues with standard crimp tools leaving excess wire hanging out the end of the connector—and if it’s not cut perfectly flush, the plug won’t seat in some ports. A combined crimp-and-cut tool is the ideal solution.This crimper has a solid, well-balanced feel. It includes an integrated cable stripper, a built-in cutter, and the crimping mechanism all in one. As a bonus, the T568A and T568B wiring diagrams are stamped right on the side—super handy when you’re working in low light or on the go.I’m deducting one star due to shipping time: it took nearly two weeks to arrive, which isn’t great if you’re in the middle of a project. If delivery speed isn’t a concern, I’d recommend this tool; otherwise, you might want to keep looking.
