MaxGear 2" Office Chair Caster Wheels, 11mm Stem, Set of 5

I normally use taller single-wheel "rollerblade" type casters for my own chairs, but these were for a new office chair that my mom bought and asked me to assemble -- she prefers her seating to be a bit lower than I do, and these allow her to sit about an inch and a half lower than the wide wheels I prefer. For her purposes, these casters do the job very nicely. She's able to glide across her office in near-silence, and nobody in the adjacent guest room has any idea she's in there. It's a huge improvement over the rattly stock casters that come with office chairs of any age. I frankly can't understand why office chairs that cost $150 or more on sale don't just come with casters like these -- they're absolutely essential in my opinion. There's nothing particularly special about these wheels in relation to the many competing rubber/silicone casters here on Amazon; but the price is competitive, they were nearby enough for next-day Prime shipping to my location, and they perform exactly as I like.

Product is great, easy to install and rolls nicely. I purchased because I put down a hardwood floor and didn’t want to damage it with the existing wheels…also I didn’t want to spend the money to have a pad down at my desk nor did I want to cover up my floor! I did put down hickory which has a very high hardness rating and no marks or scratches indentations have occurred (I’m 240lb)

I have two rolling office chairs I use in my music room, The room floor is a combination of hardwood and carpeted surfaces. While the original wheels on the chairs worked okay, they had wheel locks on them that for some reason would constantly trip to the locked position; a little frustrating when I'm trying to scoot around to a different station in the room. I was surprised that there was such a variety of replacement wheels available for office chairs (initially thought I might have to replace the chairs) but I settled on these and am very happy with them. They handle both hardwood and carpet smoothly, are very quiet and installed in just a couple of minutes per chair. Very happy with the upgrade!

Quality wheels, there quiet and move smoothly. Height of normal. Nice and smooth and stable.

Very nice product, but they would not work for what I needed them for so I will have to return them. I will have to replace them with the type that screw on without the post because it is too stripped out.

I got these for use with my older desk chair. I wanted them to be at the same height as the original wheels, not raised up like the more common roller blade wheels. They arrived quickly and were easy to install. The hardest part was getting the old wheels out. The weird part is with how I use my chair. I don't like having the legs of the chair under my feet, so I nudge them out of the way. I do this mostly subconsciously and with these wheels, they take a lot more force to change their direction than the hard plastic wheels that were on the chair. This is a bit weird to get used to. EDIT: It has been months and I still find that the level of force required to change direction is annoying me. They do seem to be holding up well, and still roll well, but I wouldn't buy them again.

My workplace just remodeled the office and stained & sealed the bare concrete. We upgraded all the office chairs with these wheels to keep from scarring up the floor. These wheels are awesome! Everyone loves them. Virtually friction-less and glide so smooth (sometimes too smooth), they change direction easily without effort and are totally quiet. This was a great upgrade.
