Great monitor for a decent price
Pretty easy to set up having a similar process to most other monitors. The colours on the monitor are vibrant and very clear, with varying settings to change in a menu. In the settings you can also change things like brightness amand contrast very freely to get the result yoy want. The quality feels fairly good, feeling mostly metal instead of plastic and I dont feel worried about it breaking in some way or another as the build feels pretty solid.

Look at the size of that thing....!
WOW...... this is well and truly a beautiful bit of kit. After many hours of reading reviews and looking at monitors I could not afford or justify the cost of, I came across the X= 49 inch Gaming monitor. It is a cracking bit of kit. After spending years using two monitors and not being able to really enjoy large screen gaming without the bezels being in the way this is a massive game changer in many ways. Gone are the bezels, and bring on the horizon of gaming.... Yes some games now require me to look over to the sides for the maps and stuff but when you are immersed in the game with graphics this wide then whats not to love. Crisp colours , fast refresh rates and higher resolutions are all on the menu. Its a nice and light unit meaning that one person can move it around without putting their back out. Its got a good amount of connectors on the back, it even has USB ports on it ( Not that I bother with them), the stand is a tad difficult to attach as its quite stiff on the clamp but once its on it is solid. The height adjust is easy to use. I do sadly have a couple of niggles. When I got mine the box was slightly damaged and there is a rattling inside the screen that sounds like a bit of plastic has broken off, but the screen looks fine, and so far I have had no problems, the other niggle is that the monitor has RGB lights which look awesome when you are looking at the back of the unit but completely useless as most people like me will have the back of the screen up against the wall. I would have proffered the rgb to have been around the outside or along the bottom of the screen or even on the stand. Having said that this is an incredible bit of kit and niggles aside I would recommend this to anyone... It is as they say ...... a game changer.

Decent Screen
POSITIVES: Lots of screen estate and great resolution (3840x1600) Good price at this size and resolution 144Hz refresh on DP ports (I have only gotten 75Hz on HDMI) Colours are good and screen is bright Modes for different use - Normal, Game, RTS, Framerate, Movie (May be more but cant remember them) Good few tweaks available in the OSD to customise your setup and get preferred settings VESA fittings 3Y item warranty/support from the vendor MIDDLING: HDMI only seems to support 75Hz - I used an HDMI 2.1 8K cable but no increase in refresh rate - This is ok though because I am using DP anyway and for many folks HDMI will be fine at the refresh rate Ports are awkward to get to - Old school placement, aka, underneath, but its not so bad once you have your cable setup NEGATIVES: Build quality is bargain basement, casing is flimsy and bottom bezel looks like its just stuck on with a fairly big (for a monitor) gap between the fascia and screen itself, but this is all ok because is priced as such, aka, a bargain, and the screen itself appears to be a good buy at this price point Stand is not great, a bit wobbly, and mine came without any screws to secure it to the foot (Seller is sending me the missing screws) but I am attaching the screen to a third party VESA stand anyway Takes a bit of digging around in the OSD to find what you want, but stick with it and after persisting with the fiddly menu buttons you will get there Speakers are weak, OK for watching news snippets and the odd YT video, however, for me this does not really matter as I do most of my work that requires any sound, aka, Teams/Zoom etc, through headphones anyway and I usually just have the monitor speakers set as my call ringer for incoming calls, which works fine for me FINAL WORD: This is a bargain basement monitor, however, the screen itself is decent, so look past the cheap build and focus on the screen and resolution, which at this price point is a steal, the screen is plenty good enough for everything I need, I tend to do a lot of office work type work, Soft phone, Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, SQL Server, RDP, teams/zoom, PDFs and Affinity Apps etc, so it is brilliant for this as I have a lot of screen space for multiple windows on screen at the same time and can keep track of lots of things at once. I gave it a quick test with Civilisation VI and looked pretty good and played well, the view on the maps is immense, I don't really play games on my work PC so cant really test it for gaming beyond this so cannot say how it would look with any fast moving games, but then I did not purchase this monitor for gaming so unable to say how it would be, but I would imagine it would be fine for most things. Screens at this size with this resolution (3840x1600) are fairly rare at the moment and some of the offerings are lots more cash than this monitor, if you are looking for a jump in screen size with a jump in resolution (above 3440x1440 for example) without the cost being prohibitive, this screen is a proper bargain, and the extra little bit of height/width is very welcome, without sacrificing the PPI/DPI. Well worth considering for your short list.

Amazing for the price.
My old Ultra Wide LG IPS monitor had finally given up and I needed a monitor for work and play. I also need a decent colour representation for graphical work, hence why I usually opt for an IPS screen. Plus, once you go ultra wide it’s hard to go back. My previous monitor did cost two arms and one leg at the time and I just could not warrant and neither did I have the budget this time. Hence why I was looking for a Barry bargain of a monitor. After reading many of the reviews and a few people complaining about response times I wasn’t quite sure and hesitated slightly with an unknown brand but ordered from Amazon and the peace of mind if things go wrong, it was actually a tenner more from Amazon than AWD-IT but I prefer Amazon customer service. In for a penny, I ordered the screen. It’s clear this is a Philips IPS screen as they’re the only manufacture making this size, thus the panel quality for this price of monitor is amazing. That’s the good news. The bad news as some might say is to keep the price low there is no actual NVIDIA G-Sync module, though it is Freesync compatible. Well, I can confirm it works fine will both G-Sync and Freesync. Yes the response time isn’t as fast as some but some reviewers state there is no overdrive setting, there actually is and it does improve things considerably. The build quality is okay and the stand is a bit flimsy/wobbly, trade offs I’m willing to take for the price. With a few setting tweaks and some patience this makes an excellent screen for work and play, as long as you’re not a competitive gamer who seeks twitch refresh rates of 240Hz or more. I love my new screen and can recommend trying this brand as I think you’ll be surprised in how much you get for your money.
