I'm a ham radio operator that recently moved to Arizona and I'm re-establishing my station. I needed to sink 12 8' ground rods, and holy hell, I quickly discovered that Arizona soil is far different from where I came from. An sds-plus (I should have bought a SDS-Max) driver with a ground rod driving attachment were no match for what I was running into.So I found the longest 5/8" drill bit I could find on Amazon and purchased it. For the price point it is well made and stood up to drilling 12 pilot holes in the "Arizona Concrete" that makes up my backyard. I still had hell to pay getting the 8' ground rods all the way in, but at least this drill bit gave them a good head start.

Awesome drill bit.
Awesome bit. Drills quickly and smoothly using even a standard battery-powered drill (I have a corded heavy-duty drill that would be typical for this type of bit, but the hand drill works very well).
