Works great and gave me the gray coverage I needed and still looked very natural and blended well. Did not brush out easily. Love the sponge applicator.

My hair is salt and pepper with my natural dark brown. I feel self conscious since I stopped dying it. I use the gray colored powder to hair look a little thicker at my paring line. It definitely helps boost my self confidence. I gave it 4 stars for the ears of use, color tone, how well it stays on and how easy it is to wash out. I did not give it that last star because when you get near the end of the powder, the foam applicator is almost useless. I had to switch to a brush that I already had.

Coffee color is a muted enough brown that it works on fading brown hair with some gray in it. Other colors i had tried were all too strong a color

I bought this product because my usual root touchup is never available anymore in the blonde shade. I'm glad I found this alternative as it seems to do a good job. It's not the exact color I was hoping for, but it works. I have platinum blonde/gray hair. It's completely white so I need just a little tone on my roots and around my face so I don't look like a ghost. I only used the sponge applicator once. I'm not really sure how you would use that. I have my own larger brush I use. The main problem with all of these root touchup powders is, it's always a very small amount. That would be my only complaint otherwise I think it works pretty well.

This was my last ditch effort to hide the thinning spots in my hair. My hair is salt and pepper colored (brown and gray). I would have to rearrange the back of my hair several times a day. I would backcomb it and spray it, but it would separate and show my scalp in several places all through the day. So upsetting as I am female and it's just worse for us in general.I bought this and really didn't think it would work. It's easy to use. Just dab the pad that comes with the jar (which is connected to the bottom of the jar}. I dabbed it several times to several areas and then couldn't believe my eyes. I did a test and laid back on my pillow while watching TV which always causes my hair to part in places and show my scalp. I then I looked in the mirror. I could not see the thin spots at all. It's a great product.I slept last night and got up this morning to see if it was the same and it was. I did not have to add more product. I am so happy. I hope this works for others with this problem because I know how distressing this can be. I use the plain gray, not dark gray.

It is not black and looks greyish. It clearly is visible on black hair if applied on bald patch and looks dirty. Also it sticks to your hand upon touch so not durable.
