Great board if you have carbon steel Japanese knives
This board is wonderful and soft for your Japanese knives. I would highly recommend to anyone with a knife hobby. Please note with all boards that are soft this is not a legacy board to pass down to your kids. This is a tool to keep your blades from dulling so fast. If you purchase this board it will last for some time but going into this type of wood you need to go into it as a tool purchase. It serves its purpose but is a wear product. If you want a board that will dull your knives but last much longer go with a harder wood. On average I purchase a new board every 3 years. I could stretch it out longer but I’m no wood worker. I keep my boards clean and protect them with board wax I have never had a problem with warping.

Very disappointed with warped board, dangerous hangnail
I liked this board but it is warped now. It is unstable on the kitchen table. Also one edge is split into fine layers and it is dangerous. I expected good quality but I was so disappointed.
