Good Balance of Hibiscus to Sweet
The hibiscus flavor is excellent in this syrup and works much better in a local restaurant cocktail I copied instead of the original's use of floating dried hibiscus flowers. The ratio of hibiscus to sweetness is positive, so easier to avoid an overly-sweet drink just to get a decent floral flavor.

Shaker and Spoon Syrups
Purchased 3 bottles, they were all packaged very securely. I have not tried the syrups yet but I don’t doubt they will be tasty and make my cocktails wonderful. I will update this review once I begin using them. Note: They must be refrigerated after opening the peach lavender and hibiscus have a use within 30 day notice the prickly pear hibiscus a 60 day notice.

Delicious with tequila, mezcal, or a combo of both
This is the perfect riff on a classic margarita. It combines cilantro, jalapeños, and touch of sweetness in an easy to use syrup. Use the QR code to get the recipe for this herbaceous margarita. However, you can use your imagination on whether to use tequila as recommended or mezcal. I like mezcal as much as I love tequila. And having learned that all tequilas are mezcals but not all mezcals are tequilas, using both together makes perfect sense. I used a mezcal reposado for this round. Next time? Who knows. But with the heat lately, this is the perfect chilled adult beverage.

Tasty
This hibiscus cocktail syrup is really tasty. I like to add it to my tequila mixed in with a lemon/lime soda. I just add a tablespoon of the syrup and stir it in. It adds a sweet taste for me. I didn't detect any sour flavor at all, which is perfect for me. My only complaint was I wish it was a stronger sweet taste. I could get a stronger taste of it if I added more of the syrup, but that just loads up the calories. It's a little on the pricey side, but all of these cocktail additives tend to be expensive. For the flavor this adds to my drinks, I think it's worth it.

Strong on the suger, weak on the cilantro and jalapeno
I could barely taste the cilantro and jalapeno. Way too sugary!

Nice taste, but could provide a better value to customers than it currently does
This Hibiscus syrup is a yummy way to liven up a cocktail or mocktail -- very tart and bright, but not soapy. I think it's a great option especially for mocktails since it's a unique flavor and a pretty color, both of which can be lacking in non-alcoholic options. BUT...given the price I think there’s several things the company could do to provide a better value to customers. 1. Like other reviews mention, this is SO HARD to open!! I tried multiple ways myself, then had to recruit my husband and he hurt his hand a bit trying to get enough leverage even with one of those grippy jar opening tools. We should’ve used a wrench like the other reviewers did 😂 2. The unopened "best by" date is on a sticker on the outer bubble wrap the bottle comes in. I would much prefer to see this on the bottle as lots of customers (myself included) will recycle the bubble wrap right away. 3. There is no guidance on the bottle for how long this may last in your fridge once opened, which is annoying. I was able to get more information on this by contacting their customer service, but I don't think customers should have to do this; it should be readily available on the bottle itself. 4. I would like to see some kind of easy ratio provided, either via the QR code or right on the bottle, for how much syrup should be used in comparison to sparkling water, tonic, vodka etc. The QR code on the bottle takes you to just one punch bowl recipe with several involved steps and lots of other ingredients needed. Providing some simple 2-3 ingredient recipes would be a nice way for people new to the brand or hibiscus flavors to get started; without them, you're experimenting with a $20 syrup and potentially wasting some as you go :(
