WORX Gutter Cleaning Kit with 5" Inches Tubes, WA4092

Ok, first of all some of the reviewers here need to actually read the directions. The universal sock tube is NOT designed to fit over the tapered end of the plastic pipe that connects to your blower. The instructions specifically state that the universal adapter is to be placed over the blower OUTLET. The ILLUSTRATION clearly shows that the plastic pipe that is normally attached to the blower is to be taken OFF. In other words remove the one or two piece plastic blower pipe from the blower and attach the universal sock tube directly to the blower outlet that is right next to the main body of the blower itself. If you do this, it fits snuggly and does not come off. As for the twisting, once again, read the directions. The pipe that attaches to the universal sock adapter actually has a twisting coupler built into it. Once everything is attached, in order to get the elbow to point the right direction simply twist the coupler at the first extension pipe next to the adapter. This is necessary since the elbow and each piece of tubing do not just push together but instead screw together and then lock in place. The coupler allows you to twist the first piece of tubing and get the elbow pointed where you want it. If you do this the sock adapter won't twist and tear. You may need to re-adjust the elbow from time to time depending on the job. The only way you will twist the sock adapter and tear it is if you don't like to take care of your equipment, never look at how it is designed, or use it like a gorilla would. Finally I have a Makita BHX2500CA Commercial Grade 4-Stroke 24.5cc Handheld Blower and the sock tube attaches securely. The plastic piping is in my opinion grade A and not "flimsy" at all. With all four extensions connected, the piping does not flex, bend or bow when it is raised to the gutters. I have used it on my gutters without issue, even blows wet leaves and water out (watch out you will be a mess when you are done!) As far as the elbow coming off, I have no idea how the one reviewer managed to cause the elbow to come off? Does he bang the thing on a wall first or maybe he has a 600 mph blower? As far as using the system, holding the blower with one hand and the extension with the other can be tiring. It is tough to hold the extension down when my Makita is at full speed, but it can be done. Overall I think this is a great product that works perfectly. It is sturdy and well designed. Truly universal as well!

The product is effective and stayed attached the entire time I was using it. I have a Kobalt leaf blower for reference. After taking the blower's normal straight tube off the fan assembly, there are a couple nubs that are exposed that the tube normally locks onto. Just make sure to tighten the supplied universal fit adapter with this kit behind these nubs and it stays plenty secure. Holding the extension tubes up to the gutter gets a little cumbersome on the grip muscles though, so wrist strap or something similar would help for operator comfort. The extension tubes work fine overall, but they did try to loosen slightly halfway through the job. A snugger fit would be nice, although just throwing a piece of tape on each joint would also work for anyone buying the current design. Overall, for next time, I think I'll try to find a shoulder strap and trigger locking device for my blower's main fan assembly so then I could hold the extension tube with both hands for better control and grip comfort. Pro tip: stand under under the gutter and upwind if you don't want to have a potential shower in gutter slop

I have on long 2nd story gutter that I could not clear using a fairly long ladder. I climbed up on the roof to see if I could get at it from above, but that looked more precarious than I was willing to risk for a clean gutter. So after reading a batch of reviews on different products I decided to give the WORX a try. I own a Toro leave blower. The WORX came with a cloth sleeve that could be tightened with a ratcheting belt. I replace the Toro blower head with the WORX sleeve attachment and tightened the ratcheting belt. I think the attachment would fit most any blower. After assembling the remainder of the WORX (mainly sticking the parts of the long air tube together in an obvious fashion) I tested the unit out on a gutter I had previously been able to reach from a ladder propped against the gutter. Now I was able to blow it out standing on the ground. I saw that if I'd only ordered the unit sooner I would have saved many hours and a lot of scrambling up and down the ladder. But I had bought the WORX to clean the distant second story gutter. The assembled WORX wasn't long enough to reach that gutter, so I resigned myself to working from a step ladder. My idea was to work from the ladder with the blower in one hand and controlling the WORX wand with the other, but the air pressure at the gutter end of the WORX was too great for me to control the long unit with one arm. I wedged the blower into the top of the ladder and using both hands found I was able to easily control the WORX. I found that if I hooked the WORX into the gutter and holding tight before turning on the blower I was easily able to control the WORX, although debris and leaves rained down on me. Even with having to climb up and down the ladder as I moved along, the gutter was soon cleaned. I am very happy with the job the WORX did. Some lessons learned: The sleeve fell off the blower a couple times when I first started. But after really ratcheting down the sleeve belt, I had no further trouble. The debris really blows down, I recommend wearing a pair of goggle and a hat.

How does anyone like this item? 1. The universal adapter didn't work with my WORX GT. Worst design of a blower/vac ever but it was a gift so... 2. The universal adapter popped off once when I used it on my Mom's Toro blower(too smooth a nozzle I guess). The adapter really needs a bump or rough area on your blowers nozzle to keep it on as the crappy plastic ratchet tie it comes with sucks. I tried to tighten as best I could but the cheapness of the rachet won't allow you to tighten it very tight. It'll just strip the gears and pop back to a loosened position it prefers. 3. After about 5min of use the universal adapter broke. The part that holds the tube to the fabric had a super thin zip tie holding things together that looked to have just popped off. No easy way to fix so I returned the whole thing. Seriously...5min of use. Looked like a pretty drastic design flaw that I'm not sure how it doesn't happen to everyone who tries it. 4. The nozzle that goes into the gutter is so terrible designed it amazes me. The damn thing blows all the leaves, dirt, water, debris... right back into your face no matter how you hold the blower. The tip needs to have a more of a spiral twist to allow it to blow down the length of the gutter..not a 170 degree blowing straight down and back at you. I believe it is a simple bend so they can save on shipping and fit it in a skinny box. Any twist/spiral they'd have to package it into a larger box costing them more. 5. It just didn't work. Maybe if I had a more powerful blower it might but I got to the end of the gutter and stuff just gets wedged into the corner and not actually blown out. I think I'm going to try a shop vacuum next with a similar attachment and just suck the debris out. $41 for plastic pipes that don't work gets me half way to a 16gallon wet/dry vac with a gutter attachment. 6. Unless you have a backpack blower or a shoulder strap to hold your electric blower this won't work. You need both hands to hold the gutter tube and guide/angle it. I was trying to hold the tube in one hand and hold my blower up with the other and it was too much. Plus my blower had a 2ft nozzle on it that I couldn't take off. then you have the universal adapter that bends as it's only cloth so I had a hard time keeping the nozzle straight inline with the pipe. Overall I'm shocked at how poor a design this is and how it had 250 reviews at 3.5stars...

I have a Husqvarna 125B handheld leaf blower. Because of the length and small diameter of the tube on this attachment, my blower runs at a high RPM even at an idle. While cleaning, I can only go about half throttle in fear of overloading the engine - the blower is trying to blow more air than what the tube will allow. But, because of this, I get a very high velocity of air coming out of the end so it does a super job of getting everything out of the gutters. The universal attachment is very easy to use and holds securely to my leaf blower. The ratcheting mechanism gets it super snug and the release levers are easy to use. However, in the middle of my second time using the Worx attachment, the fabric universal attachment came off the plastic housing that it's connected to that you can see in the pictures. Upon further investigation, there looks to be one single stitch that holds the fabric to the plastic housing and that stitch came apart while I was blowing out my gutters. This, in my opinion, is a very poor design. I still had plenty of leaves in my gutters so I didn't have time to wait for a replacement so I took a couple zip-ties and wrapped them around the fabric and it's been holding up so far. It definitely takes some muscle to use this. Not only does it take some strength to hold the leaf blower in a vertical, raised position, it also takes some muscle to hold the Worx attachment in place since there is so much velocity coming out the end. The attachment comes with four straight sections but I can comfortably reach the gutters on my single story ranch room with only three straight sections. However, my blower has a semi-permanent 18-24" tube that stays on my blower which the universal attachment is connected to. My blower was/is capable of getting even the wettest of leaves out of the gutters although this is not recommended because I was filthy by the time I was done. During my last use, I had dry leaves overflowing the gutters and I had them all cleaned out with a single pass.

BY FAR one of the most useful accessories I own. I attached it to my Echo backpack blower and it works better than I dared hope. My second story gutters have been so clogged that water literally poured over the gutters like a waterfall during a hard rain. I used to clean them myself but hip replacement surgery put a stop to tall ladders a couple of years ago. Local handymen charge $85 to do a single story house on Craigslist, I can't imagine what a two story house would cost to have the gutters cleaned, probably over $200. I gave this gutter cleaning kit a test run on my lower gutters since I could easily check them myself to see how well it worked. It hasn't rained in weeks so everything in the gutters was very dry. I expected it to blow out the dry leaves but was astounded when I inspected the cleaned gutters and it had blown nearly every speck of shingle grit out also. They were SPOTLESS! I started at the farthest end from the downspout and worked toward the downspout. By the time I got to the downspout area, it was like a mini tornado was lifting stuff out of the gutter. A giant clump of leaves, twigs and debris blew up and out from around the downspout. Once I saw how well it worked on the first story, I attacked the second story gutters with gusto. They are about 20 feet up and I had to stand on the 8th rung of my ladder in order to get the curved nozzle over the gutter. Everything went by feel. I kept the nozzle a couple of inches off the gutter floor and as I'd hit a mounting nail I'd raised the nozzle and drop it back into the gutter. Wear a hat and glasses, you WILL get pelted with grit and debris as you blow out the gutter directly overhead. I could do about 8 to 10-foot sections at a time so it took about 30 minutes to go around the whole house. I did a 2500 sf two-story house in about an hour. I was absolutely giddy knowing how much money this kit was saving me. The only part I modified is to wrap the last joint (where the curved nozzle screws onto the straight tube) with duct tape. As you maneuver the curved nozzle within the gutter, it tended to come unscrewed and get loose on the tube. You would not want it to fall off in the upper gutter. The universal adapter allows it to attach to ANY blower with a round tube. Fantastic product that I will gladly let friends and family borrow.

This thing is a PITA to manage until one can figure out what needs to be secured and what needs to be allowed to rotate. I have mine hooked up to a back pack blower. I took off all the blower tubes down to the pistol grip throttle and substituted the WORX cleaning tubes. There were no issues with this and in fact it seemed to work well. I did need to secure the adapter cloth tube with an adjustable bunji cord otherwise it would just blow off. I shortened the WORX kit by one tube length and then I fired it up. I was completely unable to control the stupid thing and any leaves that I blew out landed on my face. I quickly set the throttle on the pistol grip of the blower and let it go so that I could manage the tube with both hands. It was still difficult to keep it in one place which is what was required because the leaves were wet and didn't just blow away on 1st contact. Ultimately I would say it worked nominally well on wet leaves and in areas where the leaves were dry it did well. I learned the following: 1. Be prepared to get dirty. Wear a hoodie and some safety glasses 2. Have some duct tape handy 3. If you don't have powerful shoulders and chest muscles then ask a friend to come over and help you anfd take turns. 4. Do not get frustrated when things blow apart a few times. 5. Try and work "behind" the business end and keep the nozzle rotated so that it blows air in front of you rather than straight up and onto you. 6. Have fun getting dirty. Gals, to need to cover your hair.

I was skeptical purchasing this product and found one used on Amazon so I thought I’d give it a try. Now I know I’d pay full price for one if I had to because it is well made and works great with my Worx 20amp leaf blower. The picture I included is the highest I need to reach. I would have to borrow a ladder from my neighbor and borrow my neighbor so he could hold the ladder securely in place. The ladder was heavy, it was time consuming, and then I owed my neighbor a 6-pack as a thank you. Now I just take care of it all when ever I need to. Attaching each segment is done with a twist on method and super secure. The plastic is heavy duty but not too heavy to the point of making it difficult to lift. My leaf blower is on the smaller size and the universal attachment fits. It also fit on a wider style leaf blower my dad has. The unicameral attachment is easy on and easy off. When you turn the blower on you do need to guide the extension because the air tends to push it away from the gutter. And because the attachment comes in segments I can also stand on my front porch and reach around the porch roof. The less attachments it has the stronger the air movement inside. Best used when the gutters are dry but I did use it after a rain storm and it managed to spit debris out along with water which made a mess on my porch.

Glad I bought this on Amazon warehouse for cheap! I would never have paid fully price new, but used the pricing was perfect. With my compatible Worx blower, I was able to clean my gutters without using a ladder. Of course you'll need to have good balance, I am not sure I will be doing this when I'll reach 80 years old (Still got 35 years ahead!) In this case, clean the gutters mean removing dust and leaves. Don't expect it to wash down dried up mud or something stuck. In that case, you better use a ladder and a pressure washer, which at that point, I'll hire someone to do that for me. But for removing leaves during fall, this works well!

for the price... a few extra pieces of various size sleeves to help fit to leaf blower would have been very helpful..... and tape is needed to stop the kit from twisting apart .... but overall it works quite well
