Question 1

has anyone tried this with a Logitech Wingman Interceptor? Curious to know if the throttle level and button above the trigger work.

I have used it with the Suncom F-15 Talon with Throttle, and it works great.  Just need to make sure you have the switch set correctly for 3 or 4 analog inputs, and your throttle should work fine.  It appears to accept all of the normal joystick port buttons, so it should work with the buttons also.  I bought 2 so that I can use the rudder pedals I have also, and they work together just fine.  I am running them on Windows 7 with no problem.

Question 2

Will this work with a Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital Joystick?  The15 pin connector looks correct.

No, this does not work.  I did purchase this specifically for the Wingman Extreme Digital, but it did not work in any of the modes.  With a little more research, I found that this is for analog joysticks, like the older Logitech Attack or CH brand sticks, and is a converter for those into USB signal.  For digital joysticks, there is typically a USB device inside the controller, so a simpler DB15 Gameport to USB adapter is the way to go. However, I found that the adapter needs to be built specifically for a joystick model, or you may need to some little hacks.  The Wingman Extreme Digital originally had the required USB adapter, but I had lost mine, so I purchased the Belkin model available here on Amazon, but had to short pins 2 and 7 with a twist tie wrapped around them to trigger the controller's USB mode. I did this on the cable pins, but you could crack open the controller and solder the connections, too.  Hope that points anybody looking for the same thing in the right direction.

How would i get this to work with a saitek r100 sports wheel?

I've had good luck using this with my analog Gravis Blackhawk; I'd recommend using the left-right of the wheel as your Y-axis and gas and brake as X-axis, then setup as a joystick with buttons.  Personally I use setting 3 on the Rockfire.

Is this a good choice for hooking up a classic gravis gamepad to a newer pc?

I don't know if it will. It works for my old Joystick. When I get around to it I plan on trying a game pad. Give it a shot and see if it works.
