I recently purchased a used car from a relative who had moved into a nursing home. The car had been sitting in his garage for almost a year without being driven. When I went to test drive the car it had a very bad smell in the vehicle. It smelled like a really bad dead animal smell. I purchased the car with the hope of removing the smell somehow. Once I got the car home, I found the source of the very bad smell. There was a package of liver under the passenger seat that had been sitting there since the last time the relative had used the car. After reading some suggestions from car detailer sites, I purchased this ozone generator. I ran the ozone generator two different times for approximately 20 minutes each time. This greatly eliminated most of the bad smell. I cleaned the car very well and used some deodorizers as well. Fortunately the bad smell is no longer present. The ozone generator really did the job.

I normally don’t write reviews and this is not incentivized in anyway, but the result was too good to not say something.Studio apartment that smells like the prior tenant chain smoked a carton a day. The machine recommends running no more than 2hrs at a time. In one day, I ran it for two hours, would come back in 3 (so off for an hour), move it to a different spot, and start again. Ran it for 3 cycles like that and the apartment is night and day! Not sure if the smell stays away yet - will do this multiple days to be sure but very happy so far! Follow the instructions and precautions!

I picked up this ozone generator after a small (but smelly) accident, and while it didn’t eliminate the odor instantly, it definitely worked after a few long sessions. It took some patience, but the smell eventually cleared out completely.I also let a friend borrow it to deal with a moldy basement smell, and after a few days of continuous use, it made a big difference there too. This thing is powerful, but you need to run it in unoccupied spaces and give it time to do its job.It’s not a quick fix, but for tough, lingering odors, it’s a solid tool to have on hand.

I bought this to eliminate smoking odors in the house from my Mom as sh me has to discontinue the habit for health reasons. She smoked primarily in her small bathroom for years several times a day and it smelled absolutely horrible so I ran it in this small room for the full 2 hours and then left it closed up for a remaining six hours afterwards as I was gone for 8 hours when I set the machine and when I returned there is absolutely no more smoke odor in it. I’m amazed…I really didn’t think it would work this well. Now we just have to wash down the brown walls and trim from the smoking residue and it will be restored to a nice smelling room. Next will do the other rooms in the house that the smoking odor infiltrated. Best $40 spent to eliminate this issue. I could have spent just as much or more on cleaning and deodorizing supplies that would have also needed a lot of work to apply and effort to scrub. Can’t wait to use it in the basement as my Dad smoked down there and he’s been gone for 4 years now but the smoke smell still persists in the wood paneling and furnishing so hopefully it will be gone. It does leave a fresh smelling odor that sort of smells like just after a spring rainstorm but that certainly beats the stale smoke odor everywhere.

I bought this to de-smell a vintage guitar case that had a super strong and horrible perfume-like odour. Like, it was just awful. The previous owner must have dumped something in there and the case was unusable, and it had also transferred to the guitar. After about five 40 minutes sessions with the ozone generator, the smell was about 90 percent gone, but not 100%. I ended up spraying and soaking the case with vinegar and letting it sit for days, that seemed to work to bring it 95%. I also used the generator on the actual guitar (two or three twenty minute sessions), and it removed the smell from inside of the body, but not on the neck where the case had transferred the smell into the wood. So, I am fairly happy with the device, it wasn't the magic solution to my problem, but it really helped. Just be sure to realize that the ozone smell will stick around for days, say, if you use it in a car.

Amazing! I was skeptical but recently bought a used car that the original owner “didn’t” smoke in. The dealership did a car bomb which helped but the odor, while not as bad, remained. I bought this, ran it for an hour, and the smell is gone. Every now and again I might get a whiff so I might do another 30 minutes. Great product and would recommend to anyone.
