This couch is beautiful. Took a little while to assemble but that's just because I attached the sides and forgot the washers lol. But overall very sturdy. Yes it is a very firm couch but I happen to like that, I'm in my second trimester and I've sat in soft cushy couches and was unable to get up. I also find that the firmer couches do not ware as fast. But it is a very nice couch.

It's a reasonable couch. It is very hard, so if you are looking for squishy, it's not for you. It is comfortable, however. We have managed to get some weird stains on it and I can't seem to get them out. It looks very high quality, and comes in a conveniently easy to set up package (with all parts INSIDE the couch....). Overall it's good, but it's not fantastic. I would recommend it to someone who wants something classy who is on a budget.

Revising this----- Sorry I spoke too early. All the stuff was inside and neatly packed :) Very easy to assemble and of excellent quality. Although the delivery was late, the quality is good. I would recommend this product :). -------------------------- I placed an order 5th July and I just got half delivery. I have got the main futon but not the side arms, legs, etc. Also, the delivery is quite overdue already. Just wrote to dhpfurniture.com. I will update the review once I get the futon completely.

I'll never buy furniture online again. Very uncomfortable,not soft at all. I would rather put more money and get a a decent sofa bed.

Okay I'm very very glad I went with this one even after reading the reviews. I'm not sure what a lot of the people are talking about. It was easy to put together, looks even better in person. The look of it is so rich and high quality. It is very sturdy and feels solid. It is firm so if you want plush or something, this is not for you. If you are an heavier person or large man for example it may not work or have kids that will be bouncing all over the sofa. I am very tall very : ) and can lie on it so comfy. An average person will feel just fine on it. The cushions are not cheap on thin at all. I can not stress enough how nice this looks and it is such a low price. Best best pick if you want something classy looking. Don't freak out like I did and call Amazon with an attitude lol all the parts and arms etc. are there. They will be stored away in the sofa it self. Just flip it over once you take it out of the box and un zip the back. : )

Arrived without the arms. Material is more the type that you might use outdoors. Mattress is hard. Not a bad looking product-just be aware of what you're buying.

I've read all the complaints concerning the "stiffness" of this sofa. Perhaps I have a different personal definition of stiff, but it's not as bad as it's being made out to be. For me, it's comfortable. As for the look of the sofa, I live in a smallish apartment and it looks great. The size is perfect as I could certainly not move a full sized sofa into the place I reside. This is small enough to get through a relatively tiny hallway and through a door. The look of the sofa is incredible for the price. As mentioned by other reviewers, for $259 (free shipping) it is beautiful. I'm pleasantly surprised at how nice it looks and goes well with my wood floors. The assembly: Well, I recommend having a separate tool set as it will greatly help as the included "hardware" is your standard cheap quality and not easy for screwing pieces together. I assembled it myself (5'11" / 170lbs man) without any real problem, but obviously two people might be necessary for some. Overall: Exceeded my expectations which weren't high considering the poor reviews.

Nice starter sofa for an apartment. Cheap and lightweight are the pros. The cushion is a bit firm which is ok for me. For someone who is 6'1", the sofa definitely feels like a low rider. Don't use it as a bed because it is supremely uncomfortable
