Can the clip be removed?

Yes very easily, it is just a clip on though it feels really secure. However the ciip is pretty unobtrusive & tight to the body of the torch

What size is the rechargeable battery?

26650 which I think is equivalent to a C type. Batteries are included and theres an adapter where you can use 3 normal AAA batteries

What is the plastic tube for?

The tube acts as a spacer when using the non-rechargeable 3 battery cradle. Hope this makes sense.

How do you switch the small torch on and install batteries

It took me a little while to work it out too but the back of the torch does unscrew just above the pocket clip after a bit of fiddling. To turn it on there’s a button on the back of the torch.
