Good for silk and cashmere
I’ve used this soap for years on my silk, cashmere, and wool clothes. I’m very happy with it! Despite conventional wisdom that those textiles can only be dry cleaned, the Laundress soap doesn’t have any negative effects on them. They stay soft and lovely, and they get clean! The scent is mild and neutral but still pleasant; I wouldn’t say it leaves much of a smell on my clothes. The concentration and consequently how long it lasts are good; I use way less than normal detergent when I use this detergent. Certainly it’s more expensive per unit than regular detergent, but it’s way better value than dry cleaning. Would absolutely recommend for those wanting to wash silk or cashmere.

SO good
This is my favorite laundry soap ever! This luxury brand is a bit expensive, but worth it. The 'Lady' fragrance is so beautiful and fresh. I wish I could use it to wash everything, not just delicates. If you love to do laundry like me, and care about using non-toxic ingredients that touch your skin, try this out.

Wool & Cashmere Detergent
I recently tried the updated Wool & Cashmere detergent, and it has quickly become an essential part of my laundry routine. This double-concentrated formula is not only effective but also made with bio-based ingredients, which is a great plus for environmentally-conscious consumers. One of the standout features of this detergent is its versatility. It works beautifully on a variety of fabrics, including wool, cashmere, merino, and mohair, as well as blends. I appreciate that it can be used for both hand and machine washing, making it convenient for different laundry needs. My delicate wool and cashmere items have come out clean and fresh without any signs of wear, which speaks volumes about its gentle yet effective cleaning power. The new transparent formula is another improvement that I really like. Its lightweight consistency makes dosing easier and less messy. While the washable Laundry Measuring Cup is not included, I found it easy to eyeball the right amount without making a mess. Scent-wise, the Cedar fragrance is a delightful modern twist on a traditional woodsy scent. It’s soft and subtle, providing a gentle clean without being overpowering. My clothes come out smelling fresh, which is a lovely bonus. With enough detergent for 31 laundry loads at a medium dose, this product offers great value. I feel confident using it on my delicate items, knowing they’ll come out looking and smelling fantastic. Overall, I highly recommend the Wool & Cashmere detergent for anyone who wants to keep their delicate fabrics in pristine condition while enjoying an eco-friendly option. It’s effective, durable , pleasant to use, and has truly elevated my laundry experience!

Works perfectly on cashmere sweaters!
This detergent works great! I wear a lot of cashmere but don’t want to pay the crazy dry cleaning bill each month. I decided on a whim to try this detergent on a few sweaters to see if it would replace those dry cleaner trips and it worked perfectly on them! They came out clean and there was no damage or shrinkage to the garments. It is pricey but you only need a very small amount each load of sweaters, so the bottle will last a long time. The scent is very light and pleasant, I couldn’t really detect it at all after the sweaters air dried. If you wear a lot of cashmere or fine knits- this is definitely worth trying!

A bit pricey but works well
Great ingredients, Good price. Recommend use is with cold water. We bought this a few years ago and it was under voluntary recall due to some potential bacteria pollution (back in 2021) that issue was resolved so thought we try it again. So far so good. The packing says good for 31 loads. So about a dollar a load. Slight soapy fragrance. Easy to use. Overall a bit pricey but works well.

THE Stain Remover to use.
I use only Laundress products in my washer. I’ve been using it for years Rinses clean and doesn’t leave that funky residue on clothes or the washer itself. Also doesn’t leave that funky oder in my clothing or washer. For stubborn IDK what the stain(s) is/are, that I’ve washed and dried in the drier several times, and Laundress Stain Remover usually is successful. Sometimes it just doesn’t get it all out alone, so I just rub a bit of Dawn detergent with it combined with the Laundress Stain Remover (mix in a reusable spray bottle) and success. Seems to successfully boost Laundress Stain Remover . An especially dirty load, I put the remover right into the drum first and put the washer on soak. Then add Laundress Wash Detergent, in my favorite original scent, on the Bulky Setting (uses more water and agitation). The only stain that I can’t remove is the Southern Clay stains, I’ve yet to find any product to do so. If this is my only stain that the stain remover can’t handle, I’m good with it. Overall, pricey but a little goes a long way, and I me a little. My one bottle usually lasts almost a year with just two of us doing wash. I highly recommend this product.

Hoping I got the real deal and not a knockoff
Not sure if this is a fake or what but it did the job and smelled pleasant. I'm hoping I got the real deal and that this doesn't ruin my cashmere anytime soon.

Worth the $$ to protect your merino wool and cashmere items
This is now my preferred wash for my merino wool and cashmere items. I was extremely impressed. Dropped a big blob of home made tomato gravy down the front of one of my merino wool dresses. Thought oh well. Guess it’s a house dress now. After about 3 days - went to do laundry and tested putting a small amount of the shampoo on the back side of the stain (inside of garment). Let it sit about 5 min, the tossed in the wash (cold water, delicate cycle on a top loading Speed Queen residential washer). When I pulled it out of the washer - stain gone. It also makes the laundered items so soft. I’m sold. This stuff Is amazing. Now have subscribed for regular delivery.
