Very Good Watch for the price
First off I am not a bot. This is a real review by just a regular normal guy. This is a really good watch for the money. It has all the features of a high end smartwatch but without the high cost. It looks nice while wearing it. I thought the face would be really big, but its actually a perfect size for my wrist. It lets you answer phone calls and read text. You cannot reply to text only read because you have no keyboard, but that's ok for me at least you can read them. You can change it up and customize it anyway you would like through the Zepp app. There are a lot of free apps and custom watch faces on the app that you can download for free. The health features are all great ,Heart rate , o2 stats and the exercise apps are all really good and keep track of multiple types of exercise like walking, running, and bike riding. All the health functions sync really well with my I-Phone. The sleep app is really nice .You can keep track of your sleeping habits. It lets you see how long and how well you slept through out the night. The charger charges the phone quickly and you can use it for 8-10 days depending on what apps you are running in the background. You have to download the Zepp app to use the watch but its really not that hard and the app is very good. Its really easy to set up with the set up QR code. It comes packaged in a nice box with the charger and the user manual. The charger works very nice but the cord is a little short Its magnetic and it will only connect it the correct way every time. I have an apple phone and it syncs very easily to it with no issue and the Zepp app is in the apple App store. There is an Alexa link up on there so you can use your Alexa but I am not an Alexa guy so I don't really use it ,but who knows I might in the future at least its there. All in all I say this is a great watch with a lot of very useful apps and functions. If you want a budget watch with all the high end function of an expensive watch this is for you. I really enjoy the functionality and the ease of use. 5 stars all the way. Signed-- Just A Normal Guy.

Great watch - replaced my fitbit
This watch is bright, long battery life (if you set it up right) and measures well. The connection to the phone (I have an apple phone) for calls - I couldn't get going properly. It used battery life in hours not days. But texts, calendars and other app notifications is fine and I get 9-10 days of battery life. I am sure I am missing a step, but I prefer not to get calls on my watch anyway. Lots of good free screens and great paid ones, It does all I want - except connect to runkeeper - which is a bummer. But if that is the only downer I can live with it

So far I'm impressed.
I had a Wear OS watch that died and wanted to replace it but that wasn't in my budget. I tried several smartwatches with my Samsung phone running Android 13 with mostly bad results; none of them did everything they claimed. Very frustrating. I wanted a circular style yet I kept looking at the BIP 5. Honestly, the only seller I found that would answer my questions honestly was Amazfit. So I gave it a chance. Glad I did.I've developed Android apps so I'm familiar with the "inner workings" as well as being a retired firmware engineer and one of the things that ticks me off is the fact that many Chinese watches aren't properly designed. For example, Notifications in Android are visible to all apps loaded by the OS design; Android flags them by which app generated it. Many of the watches just read some specific Notifications that they have designed their code to use and ignore others. This means, for example, if you are using Samsung Email instead of Gmail and the watch only accepts Gmail then you will never get email Notifications. This is a major problem because I couldn't find any watches that worked with everything and I found NONE that worked with a Calendar app...until this one. Based on descriptions and questions I asked, evidently to the Chinese "Calendar" means it will display date and time.Amazfit's Zepp app is designed to take better advantage of Android's features. In particular it seeks out all apps on your device and allows you to select whether you want Notifications from specific apps. To that purpose it uses Android's generic functions so when you look at the list you find them all. Using a different email app than Gmail? No problem. Using a messaging app different than Google Messages? No problem. Using a Calendar? No problem.I exercise often yet I usually don't wear my watch when I do because I've been known to break them. I do like using some of the fitness features yet those are usually just monitoring steps and heart rate; I have an abnormally low heart rate so I was surprised to find just how accurate the Bip 5 is for that. I can't attest to the other fitness features.I wanted a watch that could run all day without needing charging; my former Wear OS couldn't do that on busy days but most of the time it would last a single day only. The Bip 5 with heart monitoring on every few minutes has use 9% of the battery in over 24 hours so I suspect 10 days is a good estimate; I will probably charge it once a week.I wanted SMS and MMS Notifications because most "group conversations" are MMS; none of the watches I tried or researched would do that yet Amazfit said theirs would...and it does! Note that if you get a "true" MMS it notifies you that it was received but not show the video/image but I don't care about that. I just wanted to know I got a message so this works great for both SMS/MMS.I want my Calendar events on my watch...and I get them!I want to see calls coming in on my watch with the ability to reject them...and I get that!I want to get email on my watch...and I get them!I want to have a quick response to emails on my watch; Wear OS allows you to type anything but I found myself only using "canned suggestions" 90% of the time and usually preferred using my phone except for OK, Yes, etc. The Bip 5 allows you to reply with canned responses that you can edit...so I can do that.Supposedly I can instigate a call on the Bip 5; I haven't found that and never used that on my old watch so I probably don't care if I find that setting. For grins, I answered a call using the Bip 5 and it worked well although I wear hearing aids so I probably won't make a habit of that unless it is really quiet but it does work.Basically, the Bip 5 does the 6 things I wanted: read texts, answer texts with canned replies, read group texts, get events from my calendar, get my emails, and lasts more than a day. And it does so without drama.I honestly don't really care for the basic watch faces and didn't want to buy a custom one, especially since I wanted a round watch. To my surprise it comes with a "photo" watch face that you can customize with any pic you want that displays date/time over it and another optional message. I really like that so I uploaded a favorite pic. You can make multiple versions of faces, such as seasonal pics, and the app will keep them so it is easy to switch them. I only have two so far so I don't know if there is a limit to how many but it is nice to have.I read some negative comments about the Zepp app yet those were old comments. It seems well designed and easy to use. To be fair I wrote software/firmware for 35+ years, including a lot of User Interfaces so I'm better versed than most people when it comes to testing the limits of code yet honestly it looks and works pretty well. Better than a lot of other watch apps I tried.

Amazfit Bip 5
Fits my wrist perfect, looks great, love the watch band how the end of the band tucks back under the band and is not flapping all over the place. Tracks my steps accurately, and it allows me to keep an eye on my heart rate which is the big reason I bought it. There are many faces to pick from already built into the watch. Battery lasts for days but I do not have everything turned on the the watch can do. I do not have it connected to pick up calls.I would buy it again

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Feature-Packed Smartwatch With Incredible Battery Life
I’ve been using the Amazfit Bip 5 for a few months now, and I’m honestly surprised at how much value this watch delivers for the price. It strikes the perfect balance between fitness tracking, smartwatch convenience, and long battery life—something other brands still struggle to combine.Setup was quick and painless. The Zepp App pairs instantly and walks you through everything without feeling overwhelming. The display is bright, colorful, and easy to read outdoors, and the 46mm size gives it a premium look without feeling bulky on the wrist. What stood out most is the 10-day battery, and that’s not an exaggeration. Even with heart-rate monitoring, notifications, and sleep tracking enabled, I still go days without charging. It’s incredibly freeing not to have to plug in every night. The health features feel accurate and responsive. Heart rate and SpO₂ readings update quickly, and the sleep tracking has been surprisingly detailed—breaking down deep sleep, light sleep, and even my breathing quality. The VO2 Max estimate seems consistent with readings I’ve gotten from much more expensive devices.Alexa integration works better than expected. I’ve been able to set reminders, check the weather, and control smart home devices right from my wrist without needing to touch my phone. For fitness tracking, the GPS locks on fast and keeps a stable connection on walks and runs. Step count hasn’t shown any odd jumps or undercounts. The watch is also very comfortable; I forget I’m wearing it, even overnight.Notifications come through reliably, calls are clear enough to take in a pinch, and the interface is smooth with no lag. The customization options (watch faces, widgets, activity shortcuts) make it easy to tailor it to how you use it.Overall, the Amazfit Bip 5 punches far above its price point. It’s ideal for anyone who wants strong health tracking, a bright display, reliable GPS, and long battery life without jumping into the high-end smartwatch category. I’d absolutely recommend it.

Great watch reasonably priced
Love this watch!! I've had it for 2 years and it is going strong. I added a few timers to make it perfect for me. I wear it 24/7 unless I'm charging it. It keeps track of my sleep and heartbeat which I appreciate.

Mixed review, OK device.
What I liked about the watch was the audible recap of your exercise after it ended. For me it was my walks, it would recap the time, distance, avg heart rate and speed. What I noticed and didn't was at certain times during my walk the HR would drop then come back up even though it was constant. I compared it to my Fitbit Sense which was more accurate.I bought this watch for the larger face, some YouTube reviews and switching to an android device from my iPhone. When resting I also noted the HR seemed higher than normal. I used a pulse oximeter to compare and the HR on the watch seemed 5 to sometimes 10 beats higher. The Zepp app is nice and has good detail. This watch would be better if it did 24/7 heart rate and were a bit more accurate. If you are looking for an activity tracking it does it fairly well but if you also need accurate HR reading I would suggest a Fitbit, Samsung, Garmin or Google Pixel watch. Yes, they are more expensive but what they do that some of the less expensive watches may not do is look for FDA certs for what they do. Are they 100% accurate, no. Outside of a doctors office though they are closer. At the end of the day I returned it for a Samsung watch for the larger face and greater accuracy.

Pretty good overall
For the price, this is a pretty decent watch. It has a lot of features and works pretty smoothly. The Zepp app is better than I was expecting it to be; it does a lot of analysis and gives a lot of insight. One tip: if you’re working out in the cold with long sleeves on, make sure to lock your screen. My sleeve has stopped and paused my workouts a couple times before I learned how to lock it.There are three things that I really dislike, I will list them in order of most annoying to least:1. Heart rate monitoring: The watch does not update your heart rate in real time. The default setting is for the watch to update your heart rate every 10 minutes. There are options to set it more frequently, up to 1 minute, but the watch warns you that this will significantly reduce battery life. My old Fitbit updated in real time without impacting the battery so I don’t understand how the most frequent option is 1 minute. Even a 1 minute interval is not frequent enough for me. Really annoying.2. Battery life: I probably have to charge the battery every 4 days. Working out drains the battery significantly. While this isn’t the end of the world, it is a bit of a pain to charge so frequently.3. GPS can take forever to connect: I sometimes wait 3 or 4 minutes for the GPS to connect when I run. I also occasionally have to restart the watch to get the GPS to connect. I feel awkward standing in my driveway staring at my watch waiting for it to connect to the GPS. I will say that once it connects, the signal has never dropped out on me during a workout like my Fitbit did, so that’s a plus. But I do wish it would connect faster.Overall, I would recommend this watch for the price, but it’s not perfect.

Gran compra y excelente producto.
Es muy bueno, totalmente recomendable para regalo o para uno mismo, ya que cumple muy bien, es un poco complicado entender bien como se conecta al celular, quizá un caso en especial con el mío, pero cumple perfectamente con lo que dice, es muy buen reloj.

Surprisingly good! - But, oh, NOW NOT so good, now.
1st, it doesn't have the band strap loop/s that all other watches of this style do. It has a slot that you slide the band end into so that the band end isn't in your way! LOVE IT, ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS FEATURE! It was in the ad but I didn't notice it as I was more concerned with functions AND had never come across this style before so wasn't looking for it. No more fighting with nor having to replace the band loops to hold the end of the band strap. Although this watch is a bit bigger in surface area than my old Garmin (which is round), it seems smaller! I love being able to read the time without having to put on glasses. The functions are easy enough to find and customize if you take the time to explore it. It was easy to synchronize with a cell phone where you can further customize functions as well as see more detail of sleep patterns, etc. This watch has much more to offer than I need, and it also has 3 games on it!! I had hoped for a more conventional face style choice but I did find a few that were free that I liked, so NO stars taken away. All in all, an excellent watch for the price ($109 CAD + taxes).===========================================================================================UPDATE: Literally 2 days past 1 yr. after receiving this watch, I went in the shallow end of a fresh water pool. It stopped working after 5 mins. A few hours later, still wearing it because it felt weird without it on my wrist, I looked for the time (out of habit) and lo and behold it was working again! The next day I went in the pool again with it, figuring it'll just work later on again if it stopped. It has NOT worked since. I've tried resetting to factory settings. The only thing that comes up is what looks like a QR code on the watch. I don't know how to scan QR codes as I don't have data on my phone. I tried just drying the watch exterior off and letting it sit, also tried leaving it in uncooked rice for a week and nothing helps. Disappointing as I bought this watch because it was supposed to be good for shallow water. Guess I'll have to get a new watch. :(
