Good Cooler
Great for the budget, looks just fine, gets everything done exactly as you’d expect. If you’re disappointed by anything other than a genuine hardware defect, you must adjust your expectations. 5 Stars.

Ridiculouly Cheap
I upgraded my PC to a Ryzen 7 5700X that when I ordered it didn't realize it didn't come with a cooler, so I looked up reviews for a simple and effective one. This brand showed up in a lot of lists so I decided to try it. I don't know how they sell this for under $20, to be honest. It was really easy to install and it keeps my CPU very cool even on higher load. The only downside is that it's not extremely quiet when it gets up to speed, but it's small so that's to be expected.

Why Pay More?
I used this cooler because it fit (with nearly zero space to spare) inside my 4U server case. I opted out of the dual tower cooler because I worried that it would interfere with my RAM installation. This is bigger than it looks on the screen. I was surprised when I removed it from the packaging. It comes with thermal paste, which I wasn't sure of because it's not specified in the description.I'm using this to cool an AMD 7950X. It is running Server 2022 in Terminal Server mode, which means I have multiple users logged into their own personal desktop to run applications. Despite around 15 users logged on at the same time, each running their own email, browser, Office apps, QuickBooks Enterprise, etc. the temp moves around between 40 and 60 degrees C. It's well within the comfort zone. And that's with the fans set in the BIOS to run as low as possible to keep the noise at a minimum (and this is pretty quiet when the system isn't under a load). When looking at coolers for this latest build, some cost a hundred dollars more. I can't understand why anyone would opt for those high priced coolers when this one is so reasonably priced and performs so well. I don't overclock, possibly that's the reason that others are worth the extra. The only thing that confuses me with this brand is the number of coolers that look exactly the same, similarly priced, specs that are mirrored, and prices that are only slightly different. I don't really understand the differences in the parts that look identical. However, as far as I'm concerned, I'm never buying another brand. The price and performance put this in a league of its own.

Incredible Value
I had a 240 AIO fail on me so I wanted to pick up something cheap as a stop gap until I moved off of AM4. I am on a 5700x, so not a high watt chip by any means, but this cooler is perfect for it. I am exclusively gaming, so Cyberpunk pushing 50% - 75% CPU usage kept the temperature between 60-65C. This was with Ryzen master clocking set to auto and stayed around 4.7-4.8 ghz. Not a very scientific test, but if you are just gaming on Ryzen 5000, this cooler is perfect.Installation was decent. If on AM4, it requires the stock back plate your motherboard comes with, so if you lost yours you'll need to order one. It was a bit finicky getting the brackets and spacers on, but once those were on the cooler itself was very easy to install. Some single 120mm fans can cost $30+, so to get an entire 2 fan cooler for $20 is an amazing value. Highly recommended for a mid range build, especially to replace a stock cooler.

Best Upgrade
Lowered at least 25°C compared to AMD stock cpu fan, PC so much quieter after upgrade.

All in One Package!
Very pleased with my recent purchase of the thermalright assassin CPU cooler!Instructions were very clear, mounting hardware packaged and tagged separately, and included thermal paste!Fans are surprisingly quite for a budget air cooler!Would purchase over an AIO any day for reliablility!NOTE: the fan installation can be deceiving for first time installer, typically fans push air towards the back casing of the fan however (instructions state this as well through picture reference) both brackets go towards the heat sink as one fan blade is mounted in the opposite direction. Must compare fan pictures and the directions of the fan blades before finalizing.Would recommend purchase to anyone!

Thermalright Assassin X 120R SE – Outstanding Value and Performance
This is the second Assassin X 120R SE I’ve purchased this time for my newest PC build, because I was genuinely impressed with the first one. For the price, this cooler is miles ahead of any stock CPU cooler. It delivers excellent thermal performance, runs quietly, and has a clean, solid appearance in the case. Installation was easy, and it keeps temperatures well under control even under load. I really like this cooler—it offers incredible value and performance for the money.
