THE HOLY GRAIL!
if you’re a coffee nerd and\or a passionate single origin best in class coffee lover….this thing is for you. I’ve become a PourOver nut during pandemic (my espresso machine failed and could not get it serviced) and have never looked back… V60 and then HarioSwitch have lead me to this…. and while the process is terrifying (I’m on day 3) and I have not gotten my routine down yet…the results are already fantastic. I love the Switch but this is next level, especially with light roasts, I’m impressed. I also got a quartz lamp heater, also terrifying but an absolute must…. just be aware; PAPER FILTERS are also a must if you want max clarity, zero fines and a bit more acidity over body. BUT BUT BUT, you need to purchase the paper filter adaptor which does not come with the device….I found that out when all slurry went right back down the syphon! ENJOY THE RABBIT HOLE!

手間はかかるがおいしくできる。
メタルフィルターでは微細な粉が濾過されずにコーヒーに混ざるのは事実で、それゆえ異常なまでに布フィルターにこだわる人がいますが、サイフォンで作ればメタルフィルター使用でもドリップ式より何倍もおいしいコーヒーが味わえます。これは間違いありません。ただし、アルコールランプを使用すると、水からであれば30分程度、お湯からでも10分以上は時間がかかるという点には留意しておいた方が良いでしょう。さらに使用後の片付けも面倒くさい。より高価なK社・T社製品を利用したことないので比較はできませんが、製品自体は価格に合ったものだと思います。※メタルフィルターの使用方法を間違えているにもかかわらず、文句を言う人がいるので注意しましょう。適切に使えば問題ありません。
