Sissel Classic Orthopaedic Pillow (Large)All Sissel orthopaedic pillows feature a substantial support to the lower cervical spinal column. As a result the entire shoulder and neck region are well-supported. Due to its unique angle, the pillow fits in between the shoulder and cervical spinal column.Filling the space between, supporting the neck and gently leading the spinal column into the anatomically correct position.A slight stretching effect on neck and spinal column might make the change feel unusual at first. Your body will require a little time (2 to 14 nights) to once again get used to a healthy natural sleep. Once you are used to your Sissel pillow you will not want to be without it.Size:Large: 47 x 33 x14cmSpare pillowcases are also available separately.

INDISPENSABLE FOR NECK PROBLEMS AND A COMFORTABLE SLEEP
We have used these Sissel Neck Pillows for 30 years after a recommendation from a Chiropractic College near us. We never go anywhere without them, on holiday and even to hospital. When lying on your side, pull the front of the pillow down a bit, so the back of the pillow is up slightly, which is more comfortable.

Neck pain is much better.
I chose the Classic large, which I am now regretting. The large is referring to the height of the 'ridge' where your neck rests. I am 5ft6 and I think I would have been better off just with the Classic normal. Its a bit too high. The pain in my neck is much better and virtually gone now after 3 weeks of use. However I wouldn't say I have a comfortable sleep to be honest, could be to do with the height of the ridge, so I am not going to focus on that too much. I would happily give it a 5 star for the results. The reason I have given a four star is because of the width of the pillow (when you face it front on) - its so small. I roll over and I fall off the pillow. Its almost cushion sized compared the standard bed pillow in UK. Very odd , a stupid design and it does annoy me. So whilst I love the fact my neck is now better, I do not love this pillow (aka cushion) due to the small size of it.

Pricey but well worth it
I bought this pillow to replace a Sissel orthopaedic pillow that I've been using for the last 20 years - the poor old thing has now become a little less supportive than it used to be. My new purchase is every bit as good as the original and I now have no problems at all with my neck and get a super comfortable night's sleep. The pillows might be expensive but at least they do the job they are designed for and, if my old one is anything to go by, they certainly last.

best pillow for neck pain
The only pillow that helped me with neck pain. This is the second one I buy because my mother put it in the washing machine without my knowledge and ruined it. Yes it is small but it doesn't bother me. Highly recommended.

Nice pillow!
This is the second sissel pillow that I have purchased, they give good support to your neck and shoulders, so I have one and the wife has one!

Smaller than I’d like
I bought this product on the recommendation of my osteopath having had neck problems for years. It’s taken a little while to get used to it but I do feel it’s making a difference. My only gripe is the size, it says large but it’s only about 3/4 the size of a normal pillow. It looks pretty silly on my bed in a loose fitting pillow case

Helps but not so much for back sleepers
Have tried this for about three weeks for upper shoulder pain and general poor sleeping experience. It is well made of high quality materials. For me (63 yrs., 6 feet, average weight) it sits too high up and my neck and body don’t always feel in alignment when sleeping on my back. Sleeping on sides it is good but sometimes, as one moves in the night, it gets displaced a little and increases soreness. I have another pillow nest to the bed to switch over if pain or soreness wakes me up. Overall thigh, it has helped me. Recommended by a physiotherapist.
