5pc ANSI M42 (H.S.S. + 8% Cobalt) Center Drill Set, 0556-5500

Decent quality for the money. I am using those daily for more than a year, works great. Stainless, alu, steel, no problem.

Worked well on pre hardened stainless steel, after drilling a dozen or so holes still felt sharp. hopefully will hold up over time.

These work fantastic, I've done stainless steel, mild and many soft metals, These cut them all like butter. I'm seeing a lot of reviews about brittleness? I think the people who break this tool are feeding it into the material way too quickly, these cut fast and deep, take too big of a cut/ fast of a feed speed and they're gonna catch on too big of a piece of material and snap. But that's how good these are, they cut every thing super easily. You have to feed it into the material at a somewhat slow pace, doesn't have to be snail pace, just don't JAM them in there and magically expect a hole.

I've only used the smallest ones for now, but they cut aluminum perfect. I used them mostly with my mini lathe.

Backup set. Always wonder where they go to hide or if "little fingers" dissapear them. Good price and they work well. Doesn't take much lost time to pay for "spares".
