Game Changer for My Daily Commute
I was a little skeptical at first, but the Gotrax APEX completely exceeded my expectations. The build quality is solid—definitely feels premium with the all-aluminum body. I use it daily for my 4-mile commute and still have battery to spare. It hits 15.5 mph easily, and the ride is super smooth. The digital display is large and clear, even in bright sunlight. I also love how easily it folds—takes me seconds to stash it under my desk at work. It’s lightweight, responsive, and gives me that perfect balance between speed and safety. If you’re tired of traffic or just want a more fun way to get around town, this scooter is 100% worth it.Highly recommend for anyone looking to ditch the car or just zip around without the hassle!

Super cool!!!!
I’m super happy with this purchase and everything about this scooter is just fine, easy to carry, it’s super fast and it rides smoothly. It has lights for driving at night, it’s worth the money you spend on it. It powers perfectly fine and it has good life battery. I definitely recommend it.

Amazing upgrades and rides smooth!!
I’ve had GXL for over 3 years and decided to upgrade to APEX MAX. The GXL is still working with no issues, but I did change the tires. The ride in APEX is way smoother because of the added shocks. There’s also a break light feature that makes it safer me to use this scooter at night. For portability, the GXL is lighter than the APEX. Over all, this is a solid upgrade. It has more power and very durable.

UPDATE: Much Better Experience
I've ridden many electric scooters, from cheap ones to expensive ones, and I have never ridden anything that is close to being as bad as this is.This thing came with a broken clip straight out of the box, and that should have been enough for me to return it then and there, but I decided to give it a chance. For one, both speed and range are completely different from advertised. You'll never go fast enough and never go far enough to make the experience this scooter provides worth it. It's rough, despite the built-in suspension, the brakes are harsh and terrible, and it forces you to use cruise control even if you don't want to which makes for a borderline dangerous riding experience. But even with the issues listed above, nothing comes close to the fact that both the rear fender, and the wiring for the brake light snapped off after only a few rides. This is a super common issue apparently and it's a huge design flaw especially in something that costs this much.Buy a Segway Ninebot scooter instead and actually get a nice piece of machinery unlike this overpriced garbage.Update: 8/15/25GoTrax reached out to me and offered a new unit for me to test out, and this has been a much different experience altogether. Nothing was broken out of the box and the glitches with speed and range seem to be completely nonexistent! I am a bit dubious on the rear fender after the first experience, but everything has been going well so far. What really gets me though is the customer service this company provides. They reached out to me, offered to make things right, and have even contacted multiple times since to make sure everything is going well. I was a bit upset when I wrote the initial review, but my mind has been changed 100%. This is actually a pretty great scooter, backed by even better customer service.

Defective Scooter Broke and they will NOT replace
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I bought this Scooter for my son back in the Middle/End of November. It was great when we initially got it. I was kind of off put, as an electronic with only a month warranty kind of throws me red flags but I went with my benefit of the doubt.Well I am here to tell you that I shouldn't have. I had this scooter for barely 3 months and it stopped working. It simply just stopped going at the beginning of March. Mind you, this scooter isn't cheap, it is $400 dollars and I didn't even have it for a full 4 months.I contacted support, who continually insisted, on instead of replacing my scooter, they would send me a motor...FOR ME TO FIX MYSELF. After a week of back and forth, I agreed, and waited a week and a half for a part to fix this scooter. They promised me a video and that it is "easy" to fix, didn't receive any response when asked for a video, just shipping information. Fast forward to receiving the part, I had to take the entire wheel off, a panel (with security screws so I had to buy a new tool), and the bottom panel of the actual scooter. After taking forever to get that open, I connect the new motor with the wires provided...STILL DOES NOT WORK.I contact customer service AGAIN. Now they want me to SHIP THE ENTIRE SCOOTER BACK TO THEM. This heavy, huge scooter...At what point is it easier/cheaper do just send me a new scooter!?!? This is the most ridiculous company I have ever dealt with. Steer clear and far away from them. If you get a defective scooter, they will pretty much tell you that you are out of luck.I initially complained about this scooter March 6th, and we are now on April 1st and I still have a broken scooter. Do better GoTrax, your product and customer service is absolutely terrible and I will be requesting a refund since you don't want to take the easy route and fix the defective scooter you sent me.
