Great home made bread slicer!
Great for cutting my homemade bread that I keep refrigerated. I was very impressed with the ease of cutting and uniformity of the slices. Just what I hoped it would do! Haven't cut meats yet I'm sure it will do great after seeing how well it cut the bread. I plan on cutting my own cold cuts from roast beef or ham that I cook. Now I can have the meat thinly sliced...just the way we like it. Cleaning is easy! And parts are easily removed. So happy with this purchase!

Works great
I received this as a gift, I requested, to slice meat for making beef jerky. I had purchased a beef jerky slicer, but it sliced the meat too thick and wasn’t adjustable. Using this I was able to get consistent thickness and the ability to adjust to any thickness I wanted, which is what I wanted to be able to do. I first sliced a top round that was in the freezer for 20 minutes or so. The meet squished as it went through the slicer – the cutting wheel pressed downward on the meat. The second top round I sliced was in the freezer for days. I took it out and put it in the fridge for 1 day – it was still frozen when I took it out. I was able to cut the semi-frozen top round perfectly. The slicer cut through the meet easily and I ended up with perfectly cut strips for making beef jerky. The slicer is easier to clean than my beef jerky slicer – very simple and quick. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a slicer and this one was priced in the range I felt was reasonable for what I wanted. It saves me time in cutting the meat and cleanup is quick also. Great little meat slicer. Performs as expected.

Works Great and Easy to Use
Love this slicer! It feels sturdy and well-made, and I really like the two different blades. I’ve used it for meat, cheese, and bread, and it works great. The adjustble thickness is super handy, especially for thin slices for sandwich or hot pot. It’s also really easy to use and clean

Great quality, sharp blade, and very safe to use!
This slicer exceeded my expectations. The build quality feels very premium and textured. The blade is extremely sharp and makes quick work of slicing meats. I love how easy it is to adjust the thickness for different needs. A huge plus is the strong suction cups on the bottom—it sticks to the countertop perfectly, so there's no wobbling or sliding while you cut. It also has a very thoughtful arrow indicator for removing the food tray, making cleanup a breeze. Solid, safe, and highly efficient!

Very good buy!!!
Took out of the box and cut up a whole ham. Of course had to quarter it first, as the machine isn't that big. However, ham was thawed and as long as you take your time, the slicer does a Marvelous job of cutting nice even slices. Clean was a breeze and took a little time. Only minor issues, is where the meat is held on the slider, it is kind of small, so couldn't use the clear plastic piece to put pressure on the meat as it was sliced, but did us my hand until I could put the plastic piece back on. It is noisy, but the trade off is worth the price. Been using for the past 2 months. Works very well on meats. First time used on cheese. I had a block that was little larger than normal. The machine made a grinding noise, from the plastic sprocket behind the blade. I had to cut the block down the middle to make it smaller. It took a little longer to cut, however, it did cut pretty good. Nice even thin slices. I checked the sprocket after I was cleaning the blade and it appeared not to be damaged. I am still happy with the slicer, it takes a little longer, but as one person pointed out, this isn't a Hobart Commercial slicer!!!

Do not buy this! It will let you down
Do not buy this! Only giving 1 star because I cannot give zero. I bought brand new for a large charcuterie project and wanted to save on pre-sliced costs. It looked promising at first. After unpacking, cleaning and putting everything together I could tell within 5 minutes that this rickety little machine was not as represented. The blade holds up for about 4 minutes, then the whole things starts failing. I changed blades and let the machine cool down and made sure everything was tightened and in place. When I tried again it started making a horrible sound and the blade was shaking. I tried all of the troubleshooting but nothing worked. It pooped out and I had to scramble last minute. Don’t buy this product- it will let you down.

Pretty good
My slicer came “renewed” which I wasn’t expecting but I’ll deal with it. The slicer seems fine. It was clean and there was no damage, so oh well. It is somewhat loud but that’s okay for me. Today I sliced some turkey that was purchased from Sam’s Club. The dial was pretty hard to adjust so be ready to use some elbow grease. I thought you might need to press down to adjust it but you don’t, it’s just really sturdy which can be a good thing. Anyways, with the dial about halfway to 1 you can slice nice thin to shaved slices. It depends on how light or hard you press on the meat as you slide it across the blade. Let the the machine do the work and just hold lightly. You can’t get the smooth operation like you could out of a commercial slicer so consistency could be a struggle with meat. I worked at a Lenny’s Sub Shop when I was younger so I’m familiar with slicing things. The turkey turned out fine for me, just gonna scoop it together on sandwiches and add a few toppings. I also cut an onion on about a 4. Those came out nice so I’m sure tomato’s would be fine too. I even cut an apple on it. It struggled but did cut through. I should have cut the apple in half though or better yet by hand so I don’t break the thing. Now, the handle is somewhat odd. It’s more for when you have something small to cut like an onion. I wound up using my hand to guide or hold the meat when cutting the turkey because there was no room for the handle/guide. I put it on towards the end once I got down to a smaller piece of meat. It just sets right on top of another piece, no unscrewing anything. Not sure about bread. Personally, I would recommend getting a bread knife for that. And, I haven’t tried cheese yet but as long as it’s thawed and you go easy with it, it should be fine. Cleanup is really easy. All you need is a damp rag and about one minute. The manual clearly says to NOT use anything frozen, half thawed, or hard like bone. It’s really common sense. Also, it says not to use for more than ten minutes at a time. The power could be stronger but you could also pay a few hundred more for that with a commercial slicer. So, for me, I think it will suffice. I just hope it lasts. And, I need to figure out how to sharpen the blade eventually. P.S. - I got my turkey at Sam’s for less than $20. About $4 per pound. The amount of meat will last me a good two weeks. All I have to do is pay for bread, mayo, black olives, etc. Cheap stuff. Kroger wanted $10 per pound, not sure about Walmart. This thing will definitely save money. Just watch where you buy your meat and be easy with the thing.
