A ton of blocks!
This set is quite large. My Lego obsessed son was super excited when he received this. The set comes in a large, round canister with a lid. Unfortunately, the lid does not stay on, as it does not have a lip to stay attached. That seems to be the only issue with this set. It is packaged into individual bags with an included instruction guide. It also seems to have all the pieces. They feel sturdy and durable. The pieces are compatible with his Lego sets. Overall, we are both happy with it.

Nice set but missing pieces
-Sadly, we were missing about 7 or 8 pieces to complete the set. My kids made it work to the best of their ability but for the price that is a bummer.-The instructions were easy to follow, my kids-6, 8, and 10 years-old didn't require any assistance.-This set was larger than it looked in the pictures.-The bucket was a nice touch for storage.

Awesome set
Awesome comprehensive building block set. Really big set comes with many different structures and vehicles. Snaps together well, comparable and compatible with the name brand. Only thing missing is a couple of the little people, it doesn’t come with any of those.

Fantastic set!
This military set is compatible with regular Lego pieces which is a must in my home. The set itself seemed fun for my boys (ages 7 and 9) to build on their own with just a little help from me on occasion. Once built, this is a really cool set to keep on a Lego table or on a baseplate in a bin to come back to. This comes with A LOT of extra little tools/weapons and we are so pleased with it!I love the bucket that these pieces come in. This makes it a very gift-able set and even allows the kids to use the lids for smaller builds or display.Overall, this is a great quality larger set for kids that are into military themed toys! Highly recommend!

So much fun.
This set has been so much fun to play with and has kept my kiddo entertained for hours. Comes with a nice sturdy storage container to keep all pieces in and has SO many pieces included in it. Was easy to put together and has been durable during it's time of play as boys aren't easy on things! I would definitely recommend. Would make a great gift for someone.

Pretty Good Set Packing Poor
I ordered this for the when the kids come to visit, we have a play area with Legos, and I thought this would be a great addition to the collection. I was disappointed when I saw how they sort of just stuffed everything into the bucket and then just crammed down the lid. As you can see by the first photo as well as the photo of the shape the instructions are in, this is poorly done. I checked through and I luckily, I nothing seems to be broken but that won't be the case for everyone if they continue to package these sets like this. With that said, the set itself is pretty cool and the kids seem to enjoy it even though they aren't done assembling it yet. The other nice thing is that these are the same size as the name brand Legos so you can add them into any existing sets you already own. I think that this is a pretty good set and while it may be a little on the higher end price wise, it's still something worth considering if you are into Lego sets.

Ok, but missing some vital pieces
I ordered these for my 9 year old grandson who enjoys building things in general. He really enjoyed these and was able to put them together mostly on his own. He seems to have good instincts regarding what goes where. That's a good thing because the instructions CAN be unclear at times.Unfortunately, many vital pieces for 2 of the vehicles were missing. I'll have to see if I have anything in my stash of "extras" from other building projects that can work as stand ins. I'm not sure about the missing triangular shaped wing from the helicopter though; that one will be tough. As far as quality of the pieces themselves, I would say that these blocks are not as well made as other name brand building blocks. There are some pieces that "fight" the assembler; like they don't want to snap together. You have to be persistent. It seems like the molds might have been just a little "off" during manufacturing. They do sometimes blow apart while trying to fit components together. It was somewhat frustrating at times. As my grandson plays with the set, the vehicles are breaking apart and have to be reassembled. The bucket with the building block style lid is very useful. You can use it as part of the play scenery and it holds the vehicles after assembly-better than a box, which is usually what these building blocks come in. We enjoyed the bucket and the fact that the different pieces came in numbered bags to help with organization. As I said, if all the pieces were accounted for, and there was no struggle during assembly, I would give this item a much better rating. However, it's a fun project for probably about 1/3 of the price you would pay for other building blocks of this nature so you have to consider that as well, I guess. Personally, I'd rather pay a higher price and know that I was going to get all the pieces I needed, or at least be able to get any missing pieces I needed, from the company. I did try to do that in this case but was told it was not possible.

amazing military building block set! :)
I got this 830 pieces military Base set for my little nephew, as he loves everything with solider and army... I am so right about it that he was so happy and excited, he even start the building/playing with it immediately right in our living room during their visit. :)this whole set is made in really nice quality and nice craftsmanship. It is comparable with the big well known brand. It came in a huge bucket (for my little nephew's size) and each building blocks are nicely packaged individually, with numbered out independent for easy instruction to follow. The set came with a Military base, a Helicopter and two different shaped military vehicles. It also came with the sticker to make it to look much more real. The buckets is not only use for storage, it could also turn into a building base to build the base on top of it... which is very nice and thoughtful.Overall, this is a very nice military base building block set. It would be really fun for anyone that loves military things - both kids and adult and would be an amazing gift. I do highly recommend!

Cool lego alternative
At the time of writing this review, this building block set costs $67.99. There is currently a $10 coupon for a total discounted price of $57.99.This building block set is awesome. I used to play with Legos all the time as a kid and they were the only company at the time. Seeing all the new companies out making building block sets amazes me. This building block set is so cool compared to the sets I used to get as a kid.My nephew will love this set. He's big into action movies so he's going to go wild when he sees this. I love that there's a few different models to make. A truck, a jeep, a helicopter and a military base. 830 pieces for $58 is a fantastic price. One of the coolest things is that you can use the bucket it comes with to use as a base to build stuff on.The quality is indistinguishable from the biggest name brand sets and is also compatible/interchangeable with them. This is great on its own, and is also part of a larger military themed set. I may just end up getting the rest.

Intricate Build Process; Unique Variety of Bricks And Accessories
I like that the instruction booklet lets us know which numbered bags of bricks corresponds to the structure we are building; I believe it is possible to initially build the vehicles first as long as you keep the bricks in their respective numbered bags. For my kids, I did need to help them with putting on the small specialized stickers and link up the small chain links.Assembly wise, I consider this to be quite advanced as there are a lot of intricate pieces and fine details; to save time searching for blocks, I recommend using high contrast surface and refrain from mixing all the blocks together from the numbered bags. We did end up with a small amount of extra brick pieces and there were instances of ‘1 of 1’ unique pieces. The odd thing about this set is the instruction booklet:- The colours are printed in a vibrant colour vs the muted colours of the bricks- Some of the grey pictured bricks look almost similar to black pictured brick in diagrams- There is depiction of a toy rifle accessory being in the shape of a ‘AK47’ rifle; however, I did not see any included in this set. It is not a deal breaker as there are plenty of other toy rifle accessories included that can act as a substitute.I appreciate that the lid for the bucket acts as secondary play base that is compatible with other building sets; I did notice that the lid does not snap securely onto the bucket and only lightly rests on top.Overall, we liked that this set included two vehicles and a helicopter; the brick quality is acceptable and pieces fit firmly together. I did not see any incorrect molding nor damaged pieces in this set.

LEGO compatible!
City War - Military Base Army Toys is a fantastic building block set that is compatible with the original Lego pieces! The set includes 830 pieces to build your dream army base. The military base features stunning building detail and comes complete with a command room, prison, weapon room, sentry post, etc. The set also includes a military helicopter and 2 military vehicles, which add to the fun army role-play experience. The building process is challenging yet enjoyable, and the end result is a beautiful military base that is perfect for display or imaginative play. All of it come in a solid and convenient bucket to carry the extra piece and the pieces can even be used on the lid of it.Overall, I highly recommend City War - Military Base Army Toys to anyone who loves building block sets and is looking for a fun and challenging building experience. The set is probably good for kids over 5 years old, even if the box says 6 years + (probably due to the small pieces).

It's an OK set, but doesn't store too well, and is more of a show set.
This is a lot of fun for kids who like LEGO. There’s a lot of different types of blocks included, and they do snap together with original LEGO bricks. I would say that the original blocks give a better “click”, but I think it’s good enough for kids. It does come with instructions, which I found were good enough for a younger kid to do themselves (with some help from the “adults” in the room). The bags are numbered, and easily readable. Honestly speaking, I think the main value of the set is from the two vehicles, and the helicopter. They were the most fun to build of the set for the kids.Something I don’t like is how the lid fits onto the bucket. You’d think that something that is meant to store building blocks would click together, but the lid sort of just sits on top. It doesn’t click, or do anything really. So if you pick it up by the handle, there’s a good chance the top will come off, and some bricks as well.Though I think the main thing I don’t like is how limited the “range” of the bricks are. They really are only meant for a military base, and my kids really weren’t interested with them after that. I think for the price of $68, there’s many good sets available. I felt that after everything was built that it’s more of a “look at what I did” set, rather than something that the kids could play with.
