Took a chance and ordered this because it was cheaper and I use it all the time. Seems to be straight and it has helped me tremendously in doing setups on both acoustic and electric guitars

Do pay more money than you have to for a straight edge tool. This tool does the job well I have used it to setup 3 guitars so far. I am happy with the results.

This thing was a life saver. used on a fender stratocaster. I read a bunch of reviews on other straight edges and read a bunch if issues they can sometimes have. I chose this one due to good reviews. Glad i did, mine was perfect and i couldnt find any flaws. if you want to straighten out your neck, this type of tool is the best and easiest way.

Came with a dent on the straight edge side. Can be filed out.

This is dead straight, cuts are all level, and thick enough to stand up on its own between E & A / B & E without needing to wedge guitar body at odd angle. Fits spacing perfectly for Epiphone/Gibson and Strat 22 fret and / Ibanez 24 fret Someone will probably thing the edges are going to SNAFU a fretboard, mine are fine but I tend to work carefully. Even the “Oh %{^%” fell over due to gravity and my dog nudging the bench didn’t leave a mark.

I am not sure about this straight edge yet, a little worried. Have not used it yet. I have a Schecter, Squire HSS, Leo Jaymz and a Yamaha, beginner guitar bug, new to luthier tools. Mine all play super and have great sustain and intonation, however I want to learn how to maintain and take care of them. Bought this Frautron Guitar Notched Straight Edge. It is Super sharp on the edges, dangerously sharp. It seems a little short as well. I very carefully laid it up to the necks of my guitars; hope I haven't hurt anything. My husband said we can debur and smooth it. We may purchase a different one though I am kind of gun shy with this one.

Actually I would put this up against my stewmac anyday, and it's a fraction of the cost, I've had straight edges show up messed up in the past from shipping (not this one, this is my first from Fautron also) had to have others do a replacement, this showed up perfect, flat side and notched side. I checked on a 1" thick ultra flat steel plate I use for making sure things are straight. For sure my new go to straight edge. Notches work on my Fenders, Epiphone les paul and my Jackson dinky. It's also pretty thick.
