These serve as reusable vacuum bags, sous vide cooking bags and freezer bags all in one. I generally have found use for these most frequently as replacement for standard zip lock bags. These seal better and are reusable.

This is my third generation of food sealing bags technology. I started with a Foodsaver that had a separate sealing tube to vacuum seal special bags. They worked, some times, but didn't hold the vacuum over time. (I continued to use my Foodsaver for re-packing meats, meal prep servings, etc.) Then, I tried the vacuum sealers for canning jars. And they worked for prepping my green salads to use for the next few days. They took several minutes to seal and got progressively harder to make the seal as the sealing caps seemed to fail with re-use. Just recently I started to see these handhelds getting good reviews. And I can say this unit has earned its 5-star rating. The positive reviews for this unit, the affordable price which included reusable bags, convinced me to give it a try. The suction and bags are top notch, quick and easy to use. (And no need to keep the food away from the corner with the sealing disk, like the ones a few years back). I love how quickly the vacuum seals and how it auto shuts off when the seal is complete, no more guessing. After a few days, my first efforts still have the seals in place. The sealed bags look just like vacuum sealed food items sold at the grocery store. Today, my green salad was just as fresh as it was two days ago when freshly made. (Hint: I took the advice of another reviewer who suggested putting your food in a ziplock bag, but with the corner open, then insert into the vacuum bag. This keeps the vacuum bag clean when unsealed, and ready to re-use. The unit is compact and I leave on my counter top so I can easily grab any time to use. If I change my mind about performance over time, I will edit this review, but I am optimistic that it will continue to service my needs. Great value and high performance (so far).

I bought the clothing product device a while back and was impressed. So when I saw this for food I thought I'd give it a try and certainly not disappointed. Perfect for saving veggies, meats, nuts and pretty much anything you don't want squished. I haven't tried boiling food in it yet though. Supper fast and great seal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND (I bought more bags, just in case)

Very nice resealable vacuum bags. I have the hand pump vacuum pump and it works extremely well, I have a couple of vacuum sealer type machines and this vacuum pump pulls as good or better then the machines does. The clear tip of the pump is removable for cleaning which is nice since it can draw liquid into it. It comes with a small slider clip for sealing the zipper of the bags (then pump for the vacuum), the zipper really works well. Faster and easier then I could do when trying to zip them with my fingers. These can NOT be used in a microwave (they could melt to the food) but works for sous vide or for boil in the bag stuff. I tried them compared to regular vacuum bags and sealer with chicken leg quarters in the freezer. Works just as well and holds a vacuum just as good as the machine sealed bags. Although I do prefer using the regular vacuum bags that can be used in the microwave for reheating frozen already cooked meals... the bags become the plate with the side cut open and laid flat. I wouldn't want to cut these bags. OK what these are best for in my opinion is for refrigerated foods that can be resealed and re-vacuumed. Cheese and deli meat kind of stuff. I buy unsliced boneless ham or turkey breast, slice them on my slicer to the thickness I want and put it in one of these bags and vacuum seal it. Same with blocks of cheese. Later open a bag and take out however many slices I want and re-vacuum it and put back into fridge. Stuff stays fresh for a lot longer then using a zip lock bag that doesn't have a vacuum option. I turn them inside out and toss them into the dish washer to clean. Just have to watch how the bags sit, I've had a couple of times had water not drain out of the bag but that is the outside of the bag (turned inside out) and just dump the water out, turn the bag right side out and rinse the outside of the bag (better then hand washing) The only thing that would make these bags better is if they were self cleaning...

This is the second vacuum sealer. I have purchased. the first one just hooked up to my vacuum machine. I love the portability that this has to offer. It’s easy to use and the suction power gets the job done. It works perfect for keeping fresh greens in a jar until you’re ready to use. Storing fresh fruits in a vacuum sealed bag has made my groceries last longer.
