Left hanging dry-in a good way
This worked perfectly for my mother after her carpal and cubital tunnel surgery, where her whole forearm was bandaged up to the elbow. The silicone seal was 100% - didn’t let thru a single drop of water in the shower. Highly recommend!

Works! So worth it!
My son broke his right arm in June and we didn’t know these cast covers existed. June was a minimal Salter Harris Type 2 fracture and he only had to be in a cast for 4 weeks. He broke his arm at Boy Scout camp so spent a gross week with one shower due to lack of supplies and assistance, and when he came home we spent the remaining 3 weeks taping garbage bags to his arm, which was such a battle, he hated it immensely and showers became a real issue. Fast forward to beginning of September (first week of school!), and he fell and broke his left arm. (distal radius shifted fracture) We went back for a cast after the week of waiting in a half-cast was up, they redid his x-rays and found a second break (another salter Harris type 2 in conjunction with the distal radius shifted). He required surgery with pins. 🤦🏻♀️ The sweet recovery nurse who took care of my son after surgery recommended looking for these on Amazon, said they actually work. So we did and we can confirm, they work and work well. It’s not shiny plastic like a bag, it has a frosted coating on it which helps with the water and to make it softer and more cloth-like. It’s still absolutely plastic, but it has a pretty good texture and feel to it; my son doesn’t hate it! My son isn’t a very rotund kid, he’s tall and slim for an almost 13 year old, his arms are slightly more muscular than I would say the average kid because we live on a farm and he lifts heavy stuff, like 50lb bags of chicken feed, etc. However, he still has baby muscles and his arms don’t convey his strength without flexing. I believe this would work well for kids and adults because the arm hole is small enough for thin arms but also stretchy to accommodate some bulk. As to how much… I can’t say. But if you’ve ever seen Jim Carrey come out of an animatronic rhinoceros, you’ve got a pretty good image of the arm-hole’s stretch capabilities. 🦏😏 My son can put this on and take it off by himself and he doesn’t need any help washing his hair now. My son had 4 weeks of cast and we’re currently 3 out of 4 weeks of brace, and just one of these is still going the distance. He has some holes that are still healing on his skin due to the pins, plus the brace so he’s still keeping his arm dry in the shower. He’s been washing that arm and around the pin holes separately. The bag is working fine both with the cast and brace. He’s technically allowed to wash without the brace but… I just want Mr. Accident Prone to wear a brace in the shower because our insurance just renewed, and I don’t think I can mentally, emotionally or financially take another break in such a short span! Consensus: Yes, get it! Save yourself the heartache and hassle, just get it.

This was exactly what I needed
This was a godsend. I had asked my orthopedic surgeon if there was a recommendation on how to cover my after surgery splint and he said use an umbrella bag. I was skeptical because I couldn’t get this splint wet for two weeks so I went down the rabbit hole and found this. It was perfect. I used it for a little over a week every day and it had a very tight seal. Never had any water but i suggest taking a cooler shower so that it doesn’t get clammy inside the bag and dampen your dressings. I suggest having someone help you open it and use your hand as well for a third hand to stretch it out and go very slow putting it on and off. This worked great for my wrist and elbow surgery. It went up to my armpit but just below so that I could still wash that area.

No water leaks a big help in recovery.
After surgery or injury this really helps keep the area dry. It really works, so helpful to be able to shower without worrying about the sore area. The fit is prefect with enough stretching to get arm in around the opening. I have used it several times over several weeks and it still holds up. So much better than using a plastic bag and trying to wrap it by yourself. I always love something that works to give me as much independence as possible.

Great to keep cast dry on teenager
Worked great for my teenager. Kept her cast dry. Had to buy twice because the dog got a hole of the first- but fast shipping and great product made it worth it second purchase.

Does not leak.
Worked perfectly. I managed to get it on and off with no issues and only using my left hand. I am (very) right handed and I still managed okay. It did not leak and dried pretty good after being hung up over night. Would recommend.

Works great!
I had surgery on my arm/elbow and needed to keep the water out while showering. I ordered this cover and it worked great! The cuff suctions and seals around the arm keeping the water out. Not a single ounce of water made it through. I was surprised. I would definitely recommend this item.

Works Great. No water leakage.
This completely protected my husband's arm after bicep surgery with alot of room for his arm and hand. His arm was very wrapped up with a hard brace and bandages he could not get wet. This cover was heavy duty and had a very tight seal on his arm and did not build up condensation. He will be put into a hinged brace next week and this should work for that as well as there is plenty of room. I would definitely recommend.
