Wild Earth Sun canopy awning for VW Camper Van motorhome 300cm x 240cm MED Grey

Ok. Asked for a certain size in one direction. Width X Length. Got it the opposite way around, Not a big deal, we're only talking 500mm. The colour isn't what I asked for. Apart from that, The product is light and easy to use. A side note, Maybe if they offered the rail you need to install on your vehicle if you don't have it would be awesome. I found one, installed and looks fine. The bag and gear is light, the ropes for holding up the poles are bright, so good visibility. The poles are a little light. I think I will get a heavier gauge to take the load. But the ones supplied will suffice for the moment.

I like this. It's small enough that it lives in the van.The "seam" is flexible, but stiff enough that I can thread it quite easily on my own.I couldn't decide between the "poles in sections" and the "telescopic poles" version.This one could have been improved by the poles being held together with elastic like most modern tents. Not doing so, does mean you can shorten the poles by a "section" to give more of an angle to the awning, but I've yet to feel the need to do that.I think overall, the small pack size of the sectioned poles was the right choice for me. Here's hoping I find some awning poles like my most recent walking poles (part breaks down into sections for a small pack size, but the last section is also telescopic for adjustment - best of both worlds)As with all these things, the pegs were useless, and were the first thing I replaced.It works well in the sun, okay in light rain (as rain is never vertical, the area it protects from rain is a little on the small side) and has survived a "stiff breeze" (maybe it was even very stiff, like the upper lip is supposed to be)I would, and have, recommended it it to friends.

Superb shade, excellent quality - comes in a zip up bag with poles, guide ropes etc.Super value for moneySturdy and a super asset to any camper van.Lightweight, easy to put up, slides on to rail - driveway.

The poles aren’t the strongest or lightest around, and only four are supplied, but I supplement them with a couple of lightweight telescopic poles already in my possession. That said, the canopy is at the budget end of the spectrum and fares well in all other respects. The fabric looks good and feels like it would withstand some punishment from the elements. It’s easy to erect and fold down again; just a matter of a few minutes.

I've spent a while researching and looking at different sun canopy's for our camper van. Something that is quick and easy to put up but man enough to cope with British camping weather - so sun, rain and winds then (probably all in one day). The Wild Earth canopy certainly fits the bill.We've only used it for one trip so far, but found it easy to put up - especially with two people - might be more fiddly if you are doing it alone, but certainly not impossible. It's also really quick to pack down as well, all disappearing into a small bag that is ideal for storing permanently in the van.So likes and dislikes:Likes:Easy to put up (we have a multi-rail which makes a simple a reliable connection between the van and the canopy).Nice and large coverage - kept our camp of table, chairs and large dog bed well protected.Kept the inevitable rain off!Good secure lines provided (bright green for visibility) - so was stable even in a gusty breezeQuiet - didn't 'snap' or billow too much in wind which means you can leave it out all night and sleep well!Lots of configurations of pole lengths and canopy angles possible - although kept pretty basic for our first triesDislikes:Nothing so far, would be good to see how well it holds up in more challenging weather and to ensure it has a reliable and long life. But so far so good.
