Bonsenkitchen Vacuum Sealer Bags, 8" x 50' Rolls 2 pack for Food Storage

I started buying these bag rolls during Covid and haven’t stopped. They are thick and I love the fact that I can cut my own size bag. They vacuum seal well and I’ve had zero issues with them. I think the value for the money is important because they are much cheaper than the ones you buy at Walmart and my husband tells me that they are thicker and good quality.

I had a ziploc vaccuum sealer that I hadn't used in several years but it still worked like new. We were looking for ways to stretch our budget, and decided it was better to buy meat like hamburger in bulk at a discount and package it for freezing. These bag rolls are perfect. You just cut them to size, seal one end, then vacuum out the air and put the packages in the freezer. So far they've worked for hamburger, turkey, and chicken. We can buy a tube of hamburger when it's on sale, and have pre-made packages to thaw out for the dishes we make. We spend way less per pound than buying individual 1-2lb packages at the store. Also, we can take advantage when our local meat sellers offer tubes of hamburger at a discounted price. These rolls are inexpensive, and you can reuse a bag 2-3 times before we throw it away. We just wash it out with some dishsoap and water.

I like these, they are just as good as the Food Saver brand and a lot less in price. I have not had any issues with them not holding the seal. I can cut then boo any size I need, I use a Sharpie to write on them and it doesn't come off, they seal up nicely in the FoodSaver vacuum sealer. This is my second time ordering and I'll continue to order and use this brand as ling as they keep working and are price saving. I would recommend them to anyone wanting good quality vacuum seal bags and the freedom to cut to size. Photos are different food items I've used these for to freeze. 1 &2 are very liquidity tomato juice and burger patty for grandson's meal prep 3 &4 are filet of cod(sealed in the odor) and uncooked chicken bones from when I debone chicken thighs, I'll use for making bone broth. I've also used these cut to size bags to vacuum seal clothing items to pack in boxes and mail them to customers. This reduces the bulk and I can fit more in the shipping packages.

Great value and excellent vacuum bags. I've used these bags every since I got my vacuum sealer. They seal tight locking in all the freshness. Now they have improved the bags by providing a white strip on one side for you to write the information you want on the bags. I expect to be a long time user of these bags.

I got these vacuum sealer bags because the ones I was using before were no longer being made, so I needed to find another option. I decided to try these, and so far they have worked out well for me. I use them with my vacuum sealer to seal food for the refrigerator and freezer. They are easy to cut to the size I need, which is something I like about using a roll instead of bags that are already a set size. The bags seal without any problems for me, and the seal has stayed closed without any issues. One thing I did notice is that if a bag doesn't seal properly the first time, I can usually just cut a little off the top and try again. That has worked for me instead of having to throw the bag away and start over. The material feels sturdy enough for what I use them for, and I haven't had any problems with the bags tearing or coming apart after sealing. I also like being able to make the bags different sizes depending on what I'm putting inside. My only con is that you may occasionally need to trim the end and reseal it if you don't get a good seal the first time. Other than that, I haven't had any complaints. Overall, these have worked well for me and were a good replacement for the bags I used before. I would say they are worth it if you need vacuum sealer rolls that are easy to size and seal.

First let me say that I ordered mine back in November 2024 and it is now January 2025 and I'm only just starting to use these. If there was any quality change in between those times, I just wanted that understood. Ever since owning a vacuum sealer, usually the FoodSaver brand, I have always bought the FoodSaver Brand rolls. I am a die-hard FoodSaver brand customer. Anytime I strayed, I fully regretted it. I've tried a few different vacuum seal bags that had excellent reviews and all found them desperately wanted. I liked the thickness of the FoodSaver brand bags. I didn't like the price, which is why every once in awhile I would try something else. I would generally use them up, double bagging them until they were gone but a few I actually just threw away. I am explaining this because for my review on these bags, you need to understand my mindset before trying these. After trying a generic vacuum sealer and throwing it away after the second use, I spent $150 on sale for my newest FoodSaver brand vacuum sealer. However I was almost out of bags, and the amount of bags they send with the machines is laughable. I couldn't really afford to buy the vacuum seal bags that I so desperately needed in addition to the machine. So I tried once again to use a generic thinking that even if I had to double bag at least it would last long enough for me to recover in order to buy my normal bags. For the first time I was not disappointed. These had excellent reviews so I figured once more down the rabbit hole. But when I tried them, the first thing I noticed was they are not much thinner than the FoodSaver bags. There is a slight thinning but they are very durable. The second thing I noticed was they didn't have the white stripe for writing the date however, I found the textured side takes the marker just fine. I ordered a pack that had three rolls of 8 in and three rolls of 11 in which are the only things I ever use. I don't like the baggies even though my machine has an attachment for it and I can't afford the containers plus who wants to create storage space for those things. The variety in the box suited me. The storage capacity is based on how much of the bag you cut, just like all the others. I didn't measure them to make sure they were the size they should be but upon use, they seemed exactly what I was already used to. They are a easy to cut, easy to fill. My only problem with these was after filling, the edge curled. If you're using a flat vacuum sealer, that's not going to be an issue for you. However mine is an automatic feed system, and a curled edge caused a problem feeding into my vacuum sealer for sealing. It is remediable. You can pull the two sides together on each end and it helps to curve enough to feed it in. A problem I would definitely not like to have however considering the price difference between these and the FoodSaver brand, I am more than willing to put up with it to save so much money, since I saw no other faults. I will be buying these a second time, to ensure quality control before committing to them completely. For the first buy, I am extremely satisfied. Even with the curling of the bag, considering the price difference, I decided not to even take off a star. I wanted to be able to use my vacuum sealer for more than just separating meat into one time usable quantities. I want to be able to take any prepackaged food and be able to vacuum seal it so we don't get the ice crystals. Basically I wanted to be able to use it as much as I want. With the price of these bags and their quality, I am now able to accomplish just that.

I nearly threw out my vacuum sealer. I would seal my freeze dried and dehydrated foods and everything looked good, nice and tight. The next morning the bags still appeared sealed but had air in them and the food shifted around in the bags. I thought I bought a faulty sealer, turns out it was the bags. These Bonsenkitchen bags are great. Every bit of air is pulled out and they stay sealed. Highly recommend, great price too.

I've ordered these twice now and the first time they worked great, this second time I got very close to throwing them in the trash while sealing up some meat...they would not seal, and I always wipe the inside area where it will be sealed very dry with a clean rag...i went through a roll and a half trying to seal12 roasts. Personally, I will not purchase these again!
