Yes, after you connect the hmdi cable from the soundbar to the TV, the arc becomes available.

instructions installation ?

Yes it did have a manual that came with it. I purchased a certified rebuilt unit and it seems to be workin great now. I had one "my bad" issue with the Bluetooth rear surround speakers where i shoved the speaker wire too far into the connector and didnt realize i wasnt making contact with the wire but the insulation around the wire.
