Good Blowgun worthy for hunting small-medium game!
I bought this blowgun awhile back and have some comments. PROS: Feels sturdy, does not feel like it would break or bend being used as a walking stick as advertised. Pretty accurate after some practice and the darts are high quality and don’t bend easily. Also, it screws and unscrews in half for storage which i definitely like. The color is nice and isn’t too shiny which is good for hunting, and the handles to help aim/use as a walking stick feel good in the hand. Great price for the blowgun! One more pro is that it the handles/grip are adjustable up and down to fit different heights. CONS: The unscrew/screw feature that has “unlimited” screwing can be too easily unscrewed. OVERALL this is a great blowgun and definitely worth the money and worth buying especially if being used for Small-medium game hunting!

Most Powerful Blowgun In The World!
Update: The review below was written several years ago and is still accurate. However, my top recommendation is now the newer Slock Master Viper or Slock Master Mamba/Bronze .625 blowguns. My second choice is this blowgun here (the Cold Steel Tim Wells Signature Series Slock Master), and my third choice would be the Cold Steel 5-foot, 2-piece. Read my Slock Master Viper review for more information, and for a detailed breakdown on all these blowguns, look for the “.625 Cold Steel & Slock Master Big Bore Blowguns Total Review”. Safe shooting!Review:The Slock Master .625 caliber blowgun is capable of pushing heavy 74-grain Razor Tip Broadhead darts up to 135 fps, making it the most powerful commercially available blowgun in the world. Although the same is true of the Cold Steel 5’ Two-Piece blowgun, which has an identical barrel and equal performance, I recommend the Slock Master for several reasons. First, I greatly prefer the broader, rounder mouthpiece on the Slock Master (see photo). It provides a wider surface for a good seal when blowing, and I find it more comfortable than the narrower Cold Steel mouthpiece. The Slock Master also includes a rubber barrel grip, which the Cold Steel blowgun does not. I really like a grip on my blowgun, not only for comfort but also to help me position my hand the same way every shot for consistency and best accuracy. Lastly, if you are planning to hunt with your blowgun the Slock Master includes 20 Razor Tip Broadhead darts which are the only ones I recommend for hunting, besides the Stun Dart. However, if price is a factor you can get a full package of Razor Tip Broadheads with the money you save going with the Cold Steel 5’ Two-Piece blowgun. This is a top quality product. While I normally don’t recommend two-piece models, the Slock Master and Cold Steel Two-Piece blowgun have a very solid connector. While this is handy if you need to break your blowgun down for storage or transport, the connector is finely threaded and it takes a lot of twisting to unscrew it or screw it back in place.Darts are good quality. Besides the 20 Razor Tip Broadheads, you also get 20 Mini Broadheads which are great for target practice or plinking (but not for hunting due to the very small broadhead). Note that the orange cones are hard plastic, and if you hit another dart on your target board the cone will shatter. When target shooting I use multiple bulls-eyes to avoid “Robin-Hooding” my darts and destroying them. This blowgun does not include the Bamboo Darts or Stun Darts that the Cold Steel 5-Foot Two-Piece includes, but those can be purchased separately. However, the Bamboo Darts are not very accurate due to warped shafts, and the Stun Darts are good for very small game only and not nearly as good as the already-included Razor Tip Broadheads.Note that these “Big Bore” blowguns require a fair amount of lung capacity to blow, so women and youth shooters should consider one of the shorter Cold Steel 4’ .625 blowguns instead (NOT the .357 Magnum Blowgun which is a much smaller caliber). However, for an average adult male the longer blowgun will shoot faster. Look for “Blowgun Hunting Ballistics” if you are interested in learning about .625 blowgun ballistics and how barrel length affects velocity.Pro Tip: If you can hear the dart hitting the connection inside the barrel, try rotating the mouthpiece 90 degrees and trying again. Do the same if accuracy or velocity seem to be affected by the dart hitting the edge inside the barrel.Pro Tip: Increase your velocity and consistency by saying "Tuh!" forcefully as you blow. You should feel it “deep in your gut” like a trumpet player would for forcefully blowing a trumpet. This pre-compresses the air in your mouth for one powerful, explosive burst of air and also helps you be consistent in velocity from shot to shot. It is simple and easy.

Blow gun and darts are good quality for the price. Package was however missing 5 of the razor tip broadheads.

Steep price for a steel pipe, but it works.
Good blow gun. Bear in mind it takes a lot of air to power a big bore blow gun. Aside from that its pretty cool. Max usable range is probably 20 to 25 yards or so with a bit of practice and a strong set of lungs. I think its a bit overpriced for a takedown steel pipe with some rubber fittings, but all in all I guess Im satisfied.

The eulogy of Chance the rat.
(Review not for the squeamish) So there I was; it was me and my expensive grow tent...just chilling. Until a mighty foe came amongst me and my grow tent. It chewed through a dehumidifier wire, And again halfway through the grow tents main power wire just enough where it might cause a fire. This expletive deleted little bastard had to go in a way that would be catalogued in the annals of rat history. But how I wondered... a hammer...nah too easy and messy. A laser guided sentry turret.... nah too futuristic. Perhaps I go marcellus wallace with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch...satisfying but the smell of burnt rat wont get out my house. How about a super rat glue trap and a blowgun that could be used to take down bears. B-I-N-G-O! The rat I named chance...because it did not have a chance in hell (bwahahaha). So i purchased some heavy duty glue traps...the type of glue that is so sticky you wonder how many horses it took to make. Anyways there i was... Playing some ps4 outriders waiting for the dang thing to load...when I heard him... he was in the glue trap near my wires! Houston this is not a drill!!!! WE ARE AT BLOWGUN DEFCON 1! I first loaded a dart and was shooting down at him. The first dart fell through before i had time to blow and aim it. Then i got down to its level and the next dart hit him in the lungs where i was aiming...thats right chance...you cant squeak if there is blood in your mouth. Next dart was a broadhead razor dart... I got him in the spine with that one. Next dart...biggity bam in the head! I shot two more darts in him....both for pleasure and for sport. At this point dear reader you might be thinking...did i take a picture of chance the rat pin-cushion? Sadly no.. In the heat of the moment i took him out to the dumpster and disposed of him. He deserved a warriors death and funeral. So that's what i gave him. A pickup of the trap and a hefty send off in a hefty bag. I rate the tim wells slockmaster blowgun a 10 out of 10. Its sturdiness, and accuracy is value for the money. Ask not who the bell tolls for chance.. because with the tim wells slockmaster blowgun...it tolled for thee. (If you go to tim wells website you can buy different darts like fishing darts for your blowgun) Thank you for reading and may God bless your day!
