I have always have bought main stream drives but thought I would give these a try and save some money. I do a lot of software and hardware testing so I have a Dell server with multiple virtual machines on multiple hard drives. I set these up in Raid 1 and have had no issues. It's been months sense I set these up but so far so good.

I put these drives into a Synology NAS and had no compatibility issues. They are fast and quite. Big enough for daily backups.

Purchased these SSDs for my NAS. 5 months after installation, SSD started to fail one by one indicating bad cluster. Tried toubleshooting with tech support, and found 4 out of 3 of them were flagged by NAS, but Win 11 didn't. 1 of them failed Win 11 check disk and Gigastone decided to do right thing. After all, Gigastone tech & customer support was providing amazing support to resolve my issue in professional manner.

I decided to give Gigastone a try, one of the two pack failed within 48 hours. I reached out to their support email as instructed on their website and it's been crickets for over a week. I was not super upset that I got a bad drive, sometimes bad drives make it out of the factory... but the radio silence on the attempt to RMA this drive is more than enough for me to never try anything from Gigastone again, and to recommend that no one else considers their products. Stick to a main brand. I replaced both of these with Kingston drives that were $10 less than Gigastone.

These SSD's are a great option for someone on a budget that wants to upgrade their older HDD spin drive to a more speedier SSD drive.

DONT BUY!!! They sent me a drive that doesn't work and despite trying to get help from them their customer service is horrible. Replies days later with excuses asking for unrelated information. I am now stuck with several drives I cannot use. They know I cannot use them in a server and will do nothing to help me.

terrible product, definitely not a nas drive, smart tools very minimal, no garbage collection, can't hold consistent speed when in a raid, seller would not return for a refund once discovered and requested with 13 purchased. Definitely will not get anything from this brand ever again. Total bait and switch.

I set these up as a mirrored pair in a ZFS pool. After 6 months one of the drives is experiencing read/write errors. Trying to make a warranty claim but Amazon have referred me to Gigastone who are not replying to emails. So 3 stars as the other drive is working and I might just be unlucky. Will update when/if Gigastone reply. UPDATE: Gigastone replied and rightly asked for more diagnostics. This prompted me to change the USB SATA adapter and now the drive is working fine. So back to 5 stars as these drives seem to be doing a good job. So the lesson is if you think these are faulty then check on different hardware.

Uno de los dos discos no funciono correctamente, me borro los datos al intentar clonar otro SSD y no deja formatearlo. Mucho cuidado.

I Dischi sono ottimi...anche se purtroppo il NAS SYNOLOGY DS1823XS mi avvisa che il pool di Dischi è a rischio perché non verificato e NON COMPATIBILI con questo NAS ...ma funzionano lo stesso !
