VERY handy to check the voltage at the end of the line run. Good indicator of line shorts as well. Sure beats using your hand.

Works great but extremely hard to see the LEDlights in the daytime

Product is fine. I can see the neon bulbs day and night. I did have a problem. I left the unit attached to the fence over night and two resistors overheated and then opened and the unit stopped working. Now maybe the two things were unrelated and there was simply a neon bulb or something else went bad as it did work for a while after being left on the fence all night. I opened up the unit and confirmed the failure . I have also opened the replacement and noted the resistor values (look like 1/2W or more). Called the manufacture they were very helpful and directed me to get a replacement from Amazon since it was under 30 days. I kinda like it. It avoid s me using the "finger test" which I had to do to confirm that it was the tester and not the fence charger.

A cheap, borderline unusable product. The lights are all but impossible to see, I thought it didnt work until I tried it indoors in dim light. There has to be a better line tester out there, do not buy this one!

Sometimes you get things, and don't take them out of the box for a few months, sometimes you take it out right away and use it once. This is easy to carry, works really well and we use it often. Keeps from getting zapped and quickly lets you know if the line is working or not. Great companion tool to have to keep your animals protected and safe.

We tried to test our electric fence but none of the lights lit up. The original thought was the fence power source had failed but the “touch test” convinced me otherwise. A different tester was then used and that one worked perfectly. Unfortunately, we are far past the return date.

Like others have mentioned ...the lights are very dim. So have a piece of paper or something on hand to shade over it where you can see. But otherwise it works great. Its reading the correct voltage that our fence energizer emits. And even though the lights are dim...it beats paying 3x as much for similar products.

works great. reliable and sturdy enough. other reviews mentioned it is hard to see in sunlight - yes, but just cover with your hand. We fence heifers and cows.

I like this meter but the one thing that I wish would be better is the intensity of the lights. Hard to read in sunlight.

While it was informative to read the voltage on your line, the clicking sound of the electric fence controller tells you all you need to know.

It give me a chance to see if it really works
