Great question - this version the IXO 5 NO VARIABLE SPEED.... you need the newer listing for the Bosch 06039C7170 Cordless Screwdriver IXO (6th Generation, green, variable SPEED CONTROL, - to get the variable speed - so you don't chew up your screws etc

goes the stand alone come with a uk charging plug?

I bought the boxed version, and that did come with a UK plug on the charger. Great tool by the way. I always swore I'd never buy a battery screwdriver, but this is really powerful.
