for which carrying a kneeler around is too tiresome. But
I chose this apron to cover my knees- my gardening involves frequent dropping to my knees when I spot something that requires an opportunistic snip or pull at ground level, for which carrying a kneeler around is too tiresome. But:1. This apron doesn’t cover the knees when kneeling unless one first kneels then tucks the leggings under the knees, or squats holding the leggings then kneels. The leggings need loose-fitting straps at their ends- loose enough to ride up and down one’s calf/wellies as one stands, kneels, or sits, yet tight enough to keep the leggings close to one’s trousers or tights. One reviewer states that the leggings can be attached to one’s trousers, but on the apron I received they cannot be, not in their factory state. I am planning to sew on two 7-inch lengths of 25mm webbing with a side-release buckle and length adjuster (same spec as the waist cord), which I hope will enable the apron to be used as I intended.2. The waist cord is too short for gardeners with middle-age spread. My trunk is 48 inches at its widest, and although the maximally-extended cord does close, it is too tight for comfort. Again, I can extend the cord length with an additional length of webbing and fittings, but Esschert really should have thought of this. Agree with the reviewer who adds that the cord is fixed too high up the bid.3. The top half- the bib- is too narrow, so too much of the upper chest is unprotected when one is undertaking shoulder-height work such as hedging.4. The top pocket is intended for a mobile phone. But the pocket is only 7cms wide x 13 cms long, and has no fastener. None of the pockets have.Substantial material (95% polyester, but being an apron the wearer should not overheat), reasonable design concept, but significantly compromised by skimping on the cords.

not just for gardening
bought this for my pottery classes because of the useful leg split. really heavy canvas and helps to protect my clothes. would have preferred it in a different colour but does the job. the neck strap is a little fiddly at first to get the right hight for the pinny but again really like the functionality of this product.

Adjustable neck and waist, very thick
Very thick and long, to my knees and I am 5ft 4" however the neck is adjustable as is the waist so it can be made shorter or longer. The pockets are big and some small, I haven't used it properly to know if things fall out, however judging by what I see it is very good quality and good price.

great apron.
Great gardening apron but a little warm to wear in summer but will be ideal for the autumn/winter/spring with good protection for the knees with the front panels. Looking forward to using it later in the year.

Excellent Value
Really good product - pouches on the garment will be really handy and the kneeling sections will stop me getting wet knees! Recommended.
