I ordered it in the UAE and promptly returned it, also informed the local reseller about the issues, which are so many at this point. The item is like a lump of coal tar, you can't powder it in a mixer as instructed on the package. Many formulations are termed as Good Siyah in Unani practice, the package does not mention the botanical name. The lab report should mention it, but doesn't. I researched Good Siyah and got the authentic item from a wholesaler in the UAE. It is crumbly, bitter and passes all the tests of testing authenticity at home. On Google Maps, Trimanthan Organics shows as permanently closed, their last Facebook post was in Dec 2024, Divya International is not on Google Maps either. There is no website for Trimanthan Organics which is odd for a company claiming to be a family-oened business since 100 years on Facebook. I couldn't find any organic certification details on the package. It's amazing that e-commerce platforms accept such a company and product to be listed. Gone Siyah is either made from Ebony Tree or Aloe Vera. The former is difficult to get, and the Aloe Vera one is usually mixed with Artesimia gum or other stuff. Ask for Musabar if you are in the UAE. I bought Gond Siyah from 4 places - one was this one, another from a herbal store but it was sweet, another from Awafi Mill which did not have the stickiness of latex, and the fourth from a wholesaler. The last one made the fingers sticky when it was put in water and rubbed between the thumb and forefinger, so much so that tissue paper stuck to it and wouldn't come off the fingers. That's the latex from Aloe Vera which has medicinal properties.
